Orbit Architect allows you to interactively design and explore satellite orbital geometry through the multi-touch interface of the iPad. You can manipulate a satellite orbit using pinch and rotate multi-touch gestures, see the effects on the orbit and its ground track in real-time, and animate the results. As you change the orbit, dynamic diagrams will illuminate the meaning of each orbital parameter. The things I would really add to it would be: (In no specific order): A money earning option. A build you satellite option. Things I would add to it: 1 - ability to key-in parameters to study real orbits. 2 - multiple satellites to visualise how orbital constellations work together. If there were two satellites - could visualise the likes of Soyuz or Dragon heading for the ISS. ===================== Second review (2014 April) after using the App for some time..... It's ideal for standing in front of a class/group when explaining how orbits work. Movies can be created using software that grabs the iPad screen and they can, in turn, be embedded in PowerPoint.
