Orbit Ground helps you turn a thought into a place to meet. Find places, check the weather, plan a route, bring in saved places from Google Maps, and share a plan with someone else.

Orbit Ground suggests a few good options and waits for you to choose. It never books, sends, or changes anything without asking.

Meet Orbit: a simpler way to turn an idea into a plan. Explore places, bring in your saved lists, review suggestions, and add an approved plan to Calendar.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-08-02

Find Common Ground now puts the two-person match first: start from saved places, share or enter a six-character code, vote separately, and open only shared picks as one Apple Maps route. Also new: a local-only ‘Pick for just me’ suggestion with factual reasons and no automatic nearby search.

New in this version:

- Trip Packs: start from ready-made destination plans, beginning with Bali.
- Ask This Trip: ask questions about a trip pack, such as the best sunset day, cafe stops, temples, or a shorter 3-day version.
- Save a trip pack into My Places and Planner so curated places become editable day plans.
- Trip pack links now open directly into a polished customer-facing trip screen.
- Nearby discovery now waits for an explicit tap instead of asking for location on first launch.

New midpoint planning: share a Common Ground link, optionally share location for this match, swipe/rate places together, and get the best shared picks near the middle.

- Place Match: Share your saved places with a friend via a 6-letter code. Rate each other's picks (Must Go / Open to It / Skip) and get a matched route with the best spots for both of you.
- Shared Plans: Send your planner route to a friend. They can view stops on a map and save them to their own places.
- Log Past Outings: Record past trips with photos, captions, and moods from the History tab.
- Trip Journal: Swipe to journal any saved trip with per-stop photos and notes.
- Rebranded from DayOut to Common Ground.
