## What is Orbit?

Orbit is a spaced-repetition flashcard app built around one idea: memories are satellites, and reviewing them is what keeps them from losing altitude.

THE ENGINE
Orbit is scheduled by FSRS (Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler) — the same open-source algorithm that's become the standard among serious Anki users because it predicts your memory more accurately than older SM-2-style algorithms. Fewer wasted reviews, fewer forgotten cards.

WHAT YOU GET
• Anki-style notes and cards, including cloze deletion and rich text (bold, italic, code, fenced blocks)
• Image occlusion — turn any photo, diagram, or map into a set of flashcards by drawing masks directly over the parts you want to test yourself on
• A full stats suite: retention over time, forecasted review load, a knowledge heatmap, leech detection for cards you keep forgetting, and deadline readiness for exams or deadlines
• Streaks, XP, and banked streak freezes that reward consistency without shaming you for a missed day
• Text-to-speech playback for hands-free review
• A free starter deck — Flags of the World, 197 cards — so there's something worth reviewing the moment you install

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Orbit makes no network calls for your data. Everything — every card, every review, every stat — lives in a local database on your device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is sold, there are no ads, and there's no account to create. Delete anything, anytime.

BUILT FOR DAILY USE
Grading a card is a single tap with haptic feedback. The next card is pre-rendered before you finish grading the current one, so review sessions stay fast even for long backlogs. Dark mode is a first-class experience, not an afterthought.

Whether you're relearning a language, studying for boards, or just trying to remember more of what you read, Orbit is built to keep it in orbit.
