## What is Orbit?

Orbit is a personal relationship manager for young professionals: a contacts app that goes the extra mile.

Your career is built on relationships, but the tools you have aren't built for them. Contacts sit in your phone with no context. Nothing tells you it's been four months since you spoke to the mentor who helped you land your last job. Relationships rarely end on purpose, they just quietly go cold.

Orbit is the fix.

ORGANIZE PEOPLE INTO NETWORKS
Keep separate networks for separate parts of your career — your current field and the one you're pivoting into — so contexts never mix. Contacts sort starred-first, then by who you spoke with most recently, so the people you're actively building with stay on top.

REMEMBER EVERY CONVERSATION
Every contact carries your notes, where you met, their role and company, and how they connect to everyone else you know — including who introduced you to whom. Open a contact before you reach out and the whole history is right there.

NEVER LET A THREAD DROP
Set a follow-up in hours, days, weeks, or months. The contact row switches from "Last contacted" to a live countdown, and a reminder arrives at the right time — even when the app is closed.

TRACK WHAT YOU OWE PEOPLE
Add tasks to any contact: send the intro, share the deck, check in after their interview. The Tasks tab groups everything by person, with an overdue badge so nothing slips.

START FROM YOUR ADDRESS BOOK
Import the people you already know from your phone's Contacts, or add them by hand. You'll have a populated home screen in a couple of minutes.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Orbit has no account, no sign-up, and no server. Your data stays on your device and syncs across your own devices through your private iCloud account — which means nobody, including us, can read it. No analytics, no ads, no tracking, no third-party code of any kind. Export everything to a file whenever you want.

Orbit is for anyone building a career on the strength of who they know: early-career professionals, career switchers, founders, job seekers, and anyone who has ever thought "I should really reach out to them" and then didn't.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-09-21

Orbit now runs on iPad and Mac.

• Native iPad and Mac apps — your whole network in a roomy three-pane layout: sidebar, contact list, and full details side by side.

• Companies, reimagined — see who owns whom (studios and their subsidiaries at a glance), and within a company, drag people to arrange who reports to whom. Orbit even suggests a starting org chart for you.

• Smarter grouping — Orbit spots when companies belong together (like "Genius AI Sales" under "Genius AI") and offers to link them, so your network stays tidy.

• Seamless sync — contacts, tasks, notes, and networks stay in sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac through your own private iCloud.

Plus a fresh app icon and polish throughout.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-17

Fixed a sync issue where reinstalling the app or switching to a new iPhone could show an empty network before your iCloud contacts loaded.
Added a short intro explaining automatic iCloud backup and how to make or restore your own backup file.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-17
