### 4/5 — Only cause I had to pay.

*2025-11-02, version 2.6.1*

This app is darn good. It’s just because I had to pay it, that’s the only reason why I gave it four stars. But wow we got to use an app to see the stars in the city.😭🥲😅🤣🧐🤨🧐

### 3/5 — Solid app Needs a sort by magnitude feature

*2024-08-17*

No updates for several years so not sure if this app is still being actively developed. If it is, it needs a sort by magnitude feature to be really useful.

### 3/5 — Great except for the cheesy music that you cannot turn off.

*2023-09-30*

I absolutely loved Satellite Safari, and was recently very excited to learn of this new incarnation. It is a wonderful app. Great design and incredible for finding satellites as well as identifying celestial features like planets and stars. However for the life of me I cannot imagine who came up with the idea of adding automatic music that plays, and that there seems to be no way to turn off. I just can’t even…🤦🏻smh.

### 5/5 — Excellent App on iPhone 12

*2023-05-05, version 2.6*

Excellent tracking software for the money! I am new to app tracking software, but it awesome so far!

### 5/5 — 8731。

Thanks for this app!

### 5/5 — Best App for Constellations and Satellites

### 5/5 — Best app ever!!

*2022-07-29, version 2.6*

Great app to find out what is above you in the night sky!!!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2022-07-27*

Great app works well

### 5/5 — Fantastic Sky

*2021-10-03*

After spotting numerous satellites this year I decided to download Orbitrack and despite its ease of use , it is packed with amazing features and information. Fantastic fun to use.

### 3/5 — Stuck

*2021-03-25, version 2.5.2*

I love this app but for some reason my copy always get stuck in a particular time and I can never seem to get it unstuck.

### 4/5 — Almost there.

*2021-03-05*

My previous reviews highlighted issues with the some of the earlier versions. I’m pleased to see pretty much all those issues have been resolved.
But the data base is so slow to display recent launches, for example if you want to track the Starlink satellite trains, your not going to see them here until about a week after launch. Heavensabove.com will tell you where and when to look before they have even left the ground. If Chris can do it, so can Orbitrack!
I’d still like to see the inclusion of a Telrad field of view and constellation names though.

### 3/5 — Needs magnitude update

*2021-02-19*

Excellent way of keeping track of satellites and operates very similar to SkySafari. Satellite magnitudes are way off - satellites listed as being say, mag 1 often need binoculars or a scope to find so they’re more like mag 7 or 8. Updates should rectify this. Would be greatly assisted by having a ‘field of view’ reference in the Center - ie: a circle of 5 degrees which can be adjusted- that would make the alt/at readout more useful rather than having to guess the Center of the iPad screen. It’s a good start and some improvements over time will make it a terrific app.

### 5/5 — BEAUTIFUL!

*2021-02-12*

I rarely write reviews. An hour ago, i received what I though was a spam email and deleted it without opening it. Something caught my eye about it and I recovered it and realized it was a satellite tracking app that had no in app purchases, and was good across all of my devices for one price. AMAZING app! Worth twice the price! GOOD JOB! Thanks!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2025-08-02*

I’ve tried everything and unable to get the “motion” to work. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — Great App, but the constant sound is annoying.

*2022-07-19*

If there are settings, I could not find them.

### 1/5 — No help feature

*2020-06-27*

Looks like a cool app, but its currently stuck on a date three weeks ago and I can’t figure out how to get it to show now. No help feature so in practice it’s useless to me at present.

### 1/5 — Accelerometer fails to track

*2020-06-25, version 2.4.1*

What a joke. I wanted to track stars in the sky as I moved my iPhone XS pointed up and nothing moved unless I repeatedly force closed this app. Don’t even bother with this. Uninstalled.

### 1/5 — How do I turn the horrendous music off?

*2020-04-26*

Can’t find instructions to do this in he app or website. Music is horrid. I don’t want to have to switch my phone on silent as only option. Satellite pass times are completely different to satflare.com too and wrong

### 1/5 — New customer

*2019-12-08, version 2.3*

It’s not easy to navigate/ not user friendly

### 1/5 — Confusing

*2019-03-14, version 2.1*

I wish I had instructions on how to use

### 2/5 — Earth image not high definition.

*2025-07-13, version 2.6.1*

Zoomed in on the Earth to my home state and the image is fuzzy. Not sharp at all. I wanted to see what was flying directly overhead my location, but the image quality is poor at best. I was expecting better than this.

### 2/5 — Out of date, incorrect locations

*2024-05-15*

I apparently missed how old this app was and the last update. It’s fascinating to see all the satellites but they are definitely not in the right place. Seeing something overhead I pull up this app and can’t find it at all. Then my star gazing app alerts that the ISS is passing overhead. That was indeed it, but despite verifying my correct location on this app it shows the ISS on the other side of the world. No wonder I’ve not been able to figure out what I’m looking at. Time to find another satellite tracking app.

### 2/5 — No good

*2022-09-12, version 2.6*

I think the company marketing this one must write its' own reviews. It's tiny; hard to read and makes a disturbing noise. Sorry I bought.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Review update

*2025-09-27*

Following my poor review, I have managed to get past the "quick start" screen and the app looks great. In truth I've not yet used it much do my 5 star rating is based on the general look and feel of the app.

### 5/5 — Still the best!

*2025-03-16*

I’ve used this for years and it still has the best features and interface of anything else out there - despite its age. There was a brief period recently where it disappeared from the App Store and I feared it had become abandoned! Thankfully it was a temporary hiccup and the developer is still active.

### 5/5 — Superb

*2025-03-03*

Well executed star gazing / satélite tracking app. I can’t believe it’s free.

### 5/5 — Amazing - Even More Interesting Than I Expected

*2025-03-01*

I had no idea there were so many satellites out there. I thought I would download this and check it out occasionally. I suspect I'll be looking at it often.

I found myself with so many questions about the satellites launched by my country and others. About the International Space Station (you can see what they see, including how the planets are aligned. You can even see where and what time to see planets and satellites from your back yard. When it's time, you can point the app in the sky and see an overlay of the app's view on your camera's view to find and identify what you're looking for. Once you find it, set down the phone and appreciate what you see.

Thank you for this wonderful app!

### 5/5 — Great For Tracking Satellites

*2024-11-20*

This is an integral part of my satellite tracking activities, it allows me to plan to and get photos of satellites as they go by overhead. I did turn off the music though! I use Orbitrack to point my camera and with it I can get photos of lots of satelllites as they go by. It is easy to use, it includes a lot of satellites that other programs do not - like the ones who's orbits are NOT shown in Space Track.

### 5/5 — Orbitrack

*2024-10-17*

I love this app! It works perfectly with my SkySafari 7 Plus! 5 stars!

### 5/5 — Works well

*2024-03-18*

This is a really good and easy to use piece of software. It does everything it should and is accurate. It is up to date with Keplers as well and this is an area where quite a few of other Satellite Trackers fail. I can really recommend this App.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2024-02-28*

This had been a very useful tool for checking satellite positions while I’m on the go. Being able to set alarms is very useful. However it would be nice to be able to favorite satellites.

### 5/5 — Super

*2024-01-22*

Top👍

### 5/5 — Motion off by 15 degrees or so.

*2023-08-04, version 2.6*

Outstanding app.
It seems off by 15 degrees or so when I use motion.
Any solutions? Is there a mag var adjustment somewhere in the app?
