## What is OrbitsWell Reflect?

OrbitsWell Reflect is a private, local-first journal for your thoughts, your emotions, and the goals you set for yourself — all kept on your iPhone.

Write the day in your own words. Capture how you're feeling with a single tap. Set goals that actually matter to you. Look back and notice what's shifting.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Journal — Write freely. Add tags. Search later. No length limits, no streaks to keep up with.
• Capture an emotion — One tap on the heart records a positive, neutral, or negative moment. Optionally add an observational label like "calm," "energized," or "tired." Optionally add a note or tags. Or just leave it at one tap. Small, frequent captures are encouraged.
• Goals in your own words — "Protect my evenings." "Move my body three times a week." "Write before bed." Not a clinical checklist. Your intentions, phrased the way you actually phrase them.
• Year-view — Your emotion captures laid out across the year as a calm, glanceable map.
• Share what you choose — Build a reflection note inside the app, preview exactly what's included, then send through the standard iOS share sheet. Nothing leaves the app unless you explicitly send it.
• Home Screen Widget — Tap once to log an emotion without opening the app.
• Siri Shortcuts — "Hey Siri, log calm."

LOCAL-FIRST, BY DESIGN

There's no account. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to sign in to. Your entries, captures, goals, and tags are stored on your iPhone — not on our servers, not in our cloud. We don't run third-party analytics SDKs, attribution pixels, or ad networks. We don't have a content backend.

OPTIONAL AI — YOUR KEY, NEVER OURS

AI features are off by default and entirely optional. If you want AI-assisted reflection, you bring your own API key from OpenAI or Anthropic. Your key is stored in the iOS Keychain on this device only.

When you tap an AI action, the request goes directly from your iPhone to your AI provider using your key. OrbitsWell does not see the key, your entry, the prompt, or the response. We are not in the request path. If you never add a key, the app remains fully usable — journaling, emotion capture, goals, tags, search, sharing, and the widget all work without AI.

HEALTHKIT (OPTIONAL, READ-ONLY)

If you grant Apple Health permission, the year-view can overlay menstrual cycle phase alongside your captures. The app never writes to Apple Health, never copies cycle data into its own storage, and never transmits it. It's read at view time and discarded.

NO SUBSCRIPTIONS, NO ADS

Pay once on the App Store. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no auto-renewing trials, no ads.

OrbitsWell Reflect is a journaling and self-reflection tool. It is not therapy, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and does not provide medical advice. The emotion vocabulary is observational ("calm," "tired," "grateful"), not clinical. If you're in crisis, please reach a real person who can help.
