However, when we got there, we were told that they have no suites. So I find this very misleading. The pool and the spa were closed apparently due to a leak in the pool. I found the rooms to be very small; there was no sitting chair in the room other than a chair that could be used for working purposes. Our room had one very large window looking out at a brick wall. They did provide a hot meal at breakfast, which was adequate. The receptionist and staff were very friendly. On the fourth day I asked that our trash cans be emptied, which did not happen. We had plenty of towels, but there were no beach chairs or beach towels available to take to the beach. Relative to all the other hotels there in Traverse City, this was a fairly inexpensive option. However, I think it’s worth the money to stay at a higher end facility. I would rate this place as one step above a Super 8. ### 4/5 — Oramel Inn *2026-08-02, version 2026.30* This little hotel was very average. Right by the main road so noisy. Snacks were provided. Yet repairs and maintenance were completed in a timely manner. They have 3 and only two and sometimes one was all that was functioning. Pools were great. Plenty of space even on high volume days. Outside pool cafe was great. Hospitality was excellent. Breakfast buffet was great constant refills of food everyone had enough to eat. Very clean lobby. Parking is great 4 level parking garage. We’ve stayed 3 three years in a row. ### 3/5 — No AC only 1 window opens a little *2026-07-27, version 2026.29* In the winter, I’m sure it will be fine but in the summer since there is no AC and the window does not open the room is very, very hot. The only room I would suggest would be a balcony room where the door could open. ### 1/5 — Good Until It Wasn’t *2026-07-13, version 2026.27* Hanoi, Vietnam scam hotel did not get any help from Orbitz. Took 2 hours of sending photos and screenshots to prove to Orbitz customer service that the hotel I booked through their service did not exist. At 2 am, knowing nothing about the country, I was finally able to convince customer service to rebook at another hotel 15 minutes away. Arrived at nearly 3am. Had to check out at noon. The worst thing was earlier that day I received a suspicious message telling me to go to a different location, so I contacted Orbitz to verify the stay. Orbitz then reassured me that the hotel was legit and even said they spoke with someone at the property. I have been booking vacation trips through this App for years. Never needed to call customer service for any issue. However, when it mattered most they left me to fend for myself. When I booked a package and selected my travel dates, for some reason it booked the hotel to end on my vacation date selected; however the flight to return home was for another day (the next day). I was stuck in a foreign country with my wife and our two young daughters, with no hotel room and a flight for the following day. I called customer service and they were no help at all. BE SURE to check your return flights home, they may not be the same day as checkout. I booked a trip through them recently and was sent the 2 iteneraries plus flights and billed under AA and Avis. Another charge appeared on my credit card for over $500 as an Orbitz purchase. I did not receive an email, receipt or any type of notification for this service and it still has not been resolved. The person I chatted with couldn’t find this transaction either. The vibe of the hotel and restaurant is chic, modern, bohemian. The rooms are clean and wonderful and comes with great amenities. This is my take, as I am a young widow and travel globally with my kids on an average budget. List below of things parents will like: -check in is easy and had kid friendly area. -Room has large smart TV (If you have kids, you know how this can help after a long day with multiple kids. Don’t judge.) -Best fold out bed I’ve had ever. Kids didn’t mind sleeping on it. -Breakfast has many options and the staff is helpful. -Small snacks and candy in lobby area was good for kids. -Lunch in the hotel is surprisingly good. Service staff were patient with my kids. Room in the fridge for leftovers. -They have various outlet types in the rooms. Less need for multiple converters. -Giraffe and Pret are literally across the street. Good family options, if you need them. -Steps from Victoria Station. You can get anywhere you need to be quickly. -Manager checked in while we were at restaurants each day. Great sign of management style. If you have kiddos, book this place for a less stressful transition from the US to the UK. It can be overwhelming for first time visitors.
