### 5/5 — Why change the name!

*2026-04-21, version 4.0.6*

Great app - but why change the name. Happy Feed made me feel happy just opening it, but now it’s just lost. Orca means nothing to me - very disappointing

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2026-04-06, version 4.0.6*

This app is great!

### 5/5 — Honestly live changing

*2026-04-02, version 4.0.5*

I never bothered to rate apps, but I’ve just hit 182 days and of sharing positives each day. For a person who is naturally negative this was hard, but I’ve stuck with it, and now each day I look back and I actually feel accomplished and happy.

### 5/5 — I am a happier person

*2026-03-21, version 4.0.3*

I have been using this app for six years, and it has truly helped me to be more grateful for aspects of life, big and small. I absolutely adore how I can look back at memories from the past. I love the photo/video feature. The widget also has great photos from past gratitude moments.

### 5/5 — Changed my life

*2026-03-15, version 4.0.3*

This app I have had for 5 years now and it has changed my life.

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-03-13, version 4.0.2*

Love this app. Use it every single day And it’s completely free

### 5/5 — Honestly live changing

*2026-03-06, version 4.0.1*

I never bothered to rate apps, but I’ve just hit 182 days and of sharing positives each day. For a person who is naturally negative this was hard, but I’ve stuck with it, and now each day I look back and I actually feel accomplished and happy.

### 4/5 — Great App but Expensive

*2026-03-03, version 4.0.1*

I think this is a great app. I used to do this manually years ago on calendar just to get one photo and a overall monthly print for memories. I would love to do a subscription but $48 a year for monthly or $40 a year annually is too expensive. I would go with $20 or $25 at the most.

### 5/5 — Brightens my day

*2026-03-02, version 4.0.0*

I love this personal space to reflect on how I’m learning, finding joy, and growing. This app is great for the soul. More of memories should be personal. This app helps you make it so.

### 4/5 — Good

*2026-02-22, version 4.0.0*

Great app! Just wondering if we can only add photos at the end of the day for the no membership rather than any time?

### 5/5 — Feel Good App

*2026-02-22, version 4.0.0*

My word for the year is JOY and Orca helps me by recording little moments of joy throughout the day. I’m on a 68 day streak and have no plans to break it. I love finding happy moments in the day.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2026-02-19, version 4.0.0*

This is a great app I love it so much. It really helps me to focus on the good parts of my day when it is so easy to focus on the hard. I will say that the UI is very different and sometimes hard to use as well as the different sharing options. You think you have figured it out but then something happens and no you haven’t. But other than that it is a fantastic app that you can use for just the people in your life like social media was supposed to be in the first place

### 5/5 — Easy and fun

*2026-02-17, version 3.45.2*

The app is easy to use, it’s fun to be able to add pictures and videos. I like that it offers you hints when you don’t know what to write

### 3/5 — Long time user leaving

*2026-02-16, version 3.45.2*

I’ve been using Happyfeed since 2019 I’ve enjoyed it a bunch I especially enjoy the random pods it gives me a chance to interact with people I wouldn’t otherwise come across. But not being able to see comments on posts I made especially my own or if the original poster acknowledges what I posted seems silly I get it we don’t want people piling on etc but one sided communication isn’t community it’s isolation I see no value in it anymore

### 5/5 — Easy way to record gratitude

*2026-02-01, version 3.45.0*

Update: Just hit 2400 days of gratitude. This practice has absolutely changed my life. It has changed how I view people and the world around me. Absolutely worth it. And now that I have 6 years of memories to look back on each day I love it even more. If you doom scroll and feel unhappy change your habits and begin curating your own happyfeed and it will absolutely help you to become happier and have more joy.
Wow, just hit 842 days of gratitude with this app. I have used the free version but upgraded to the paid version after about a year. I LOVE the ability to add pictures (either version) to my gratitude practice. This has basically become my own little Instagram feed and I love that I can scroll through without the distractions from other people. My spouse has commented that this practice has changed me, and that my outlook on life and the way I view the world is so much more positive and encouraging. ⭐️

I would 100% recommend this app. I have told so many family members about it. It has helped me stay true to my goal of finding the special moments each day.

I also love the search feature. You can search by name, date or emoji. I assigned each of my family members an emoji and it’s so fun to go back to show my kids the gratitude moments I have that they are involved with. I have not yet printed but I am looking forward to doing that soon and will have a review on the process and picture quality.

### 5/5 — So worth it.

*2026-02-01, version 3.45.0*

I do three gratitude notes a day. If I forget I can go back a day or two and add. So very easy to keep a streak. I have pod with one other person so far and it is lovely to see each other’s updates. Highly recommend. A daily gratitude practice does change how you walk through life.

### 5/5 — Grateful 😀

*2026-01-31, version 3.45.0*

This app reminds me to be thankful in the smallest ways

### 5/5 — Great gratitude journal!

*2026-01-31, version 3.45.0*

Easy and fun way of practicing gratitude and creating a good habit

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Lost everything

*2026-03-05, version 4.0.1*

I was happy until I switched over everything to a new phone, where I tried to type in forgot password and every time I hit send to email, nothing. I did accidentally created a new account and deleted it, but I’m still having issues trying to recover my old account, I did leave a message for the company but no response yet, I’ll update when I do get a response but until then I’m so angry and sad, my progress is gone 😭 and I’m unsure if it’s due to this new update.

### 1/5 — Only 30 seconds

*2026-01-03, version 3.43.10*

I download this because I wanted a free daily video diary, but this only allows you to record up to 30 seconds before you have to pay

### 1/5 — Too short of videos

*2025-06-23, version 3.42.9*

If you want to use the video diary part of it as an actual diary or journal don’t.It only lets you take three second videos. If you’re not going to pay. and if you are going to pay it only lets you take 30 second videos not worth it.

### 1/5 — Not for me

*2025-02-23, version 3.41.9*

At first I liked it until all of those in app purchases 😡😡

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2024-05-18, version 3.39.10*

I just wanted a simple photo with journal. You can’t use photos unless you upgrade to plus?

### 1/5 — Videos don’t upload

*2023-01-02, version 3.30.1*

Videos don’t upload

### 1/5 — Other apps are more useful

*2022-11-22, version 3.28.8*

I received a free trial of this app and would not ever choose to buy. There are so many other apps that contain actual useful information and prompts. This app is not intuitive either so people who don’t easily navigate apps would have difficulty. I’d keep searching if you’re looking for an app for better mental health.

### 1/5 — Edit; Try this out?

*2022-05-09, version 3.25.6*

Update; Monday 9 May 2022
New title; Edit; Try this out?

Dear Matt, thanks for your reply
No warning was given at my email after I signed up so sadly no, you were not upfront about it.
📗
IRREGULAR PODS; You could improve here by offering a pod for those of us irregular users having hard times. Will you give that a try? 📗You were flexible on the colour and that helped, can you be flexible like this too?
📗 Maybe use an index, ideas for pods; CATS/ MENOPAUSE / PUBERTY/ PERIODS/ GAY/ LGBT / STRESS with search hash tags for those of us who prefer not random but purposeful pods. I tried to link to one, one night and my WiFi drained the battery.
Fancy trying that out?
📗 I’ll test it, but bear with me as I’ve just buried my 18 year old cat so I’m not in a happy place hence my request for irregular pods. Then we would still feel welcome regardless of not being daily, weekly or “exciting.”
📗 If so I would have a chance to use this app rather than be tossed like rubbish Yours sincerely 🥨🥨

🌷📗 Saturday 7 May 2022 Title; purpose of app? Rating; reduced from 3 to 1 point Hello I don’t believe this app is marketed correctly. Devs say it’s a “gratitude journal” but I have just been told it is meant to be “exciting for new users” I’m not sure what their target audience is in this case.. ? Life happens and my cat is at deaths door so I can’t be “exciting “ and I am a new user so due to the contradiction of what these people want .. I have no choice but to quit. I haven’t had a chance to interact with anyone but as it’s clearly meant to be “exciting “ don’t bother with this if you have real life problems to attend to! because you’ll get an email dumping you from random pods, which lets face it if you have stressful life events and needed to postpone “pod activity” is a slap in the face. Well done developers for pushing your potential audience away! Goodbye “happy” feed, I’m sticking with Twitter because people there know that life happens and as Meera Syal’s book states “life’s not all haha heehee” Yours sincerely 🥨 Thursday 14 April/ hello Matt thanks for your reply. I’ve emailed you with screen grabs. Kind regards DHM 7609 —-/ Update No.2/ Monday 11 April 2022 1 point Title; why has my review vanished? Hello Matt what happened to my review? It was there because you answered me “ Can you add a few stars? I think one star for a colour choice is a bit unfair …” I replied “I point out to you that I can’t use it because I can’t see it.” I posted update on 3 April. Can you help me understand why it vanished? Yours sincerely

### 2/5 — Why change the name!

*2026-05-14, version 4.1.0*

Great app - but why change the name. Happy Feed made me feel happy just opening it, but now it’s just lost. Orca means nothing to me - very disappointing

### 2/5 — Over-complicated

*2024-07-06, version 3.39.13*

This is my third time trying to use this app. I find it overly complicated and ‘cumbersome’ to use. There are 4 tabs at the bottom and each tab has more aspects within its own page. It takes a while to navigate it all before finding the bit you want. When I go to my account, I then have to tap on something else to show my profile and then, when I get there, it doesn’t really show anything of note, and I have to tap on something else to ‘manage followers’…yet it could all be on the same page. ‘Reflect’ and ‘Moments’ could be incorporated. There are two types of speech bubble; one for prompts for reflections, one for notifications. Not all of my notifications show, with just a blank strip amongst other comments/reactions. I have no way of knowing if I have even read/seen them all because they don’t visibly change ie from bold to normal (like an unread - read email), or a change in colour etc. The worst aspect, for me, is that I have to belong to a pod just to be-able to see posts by people I know. Surely, there could be a way of just seeing people you follow without being in specific pod. There is a ‘follows only’ option in ‘pods’…yet you can’t see new posts unless you are also in the pod they shared that post to. To me, if someone has accepted your follow request, they are happy for you to follow them (ie see the posts they make). I actually find it quite mind-boggling, and a tad infuriating, to have to jump through so many hoops so I don’t lose touch with people I knew in a different app (where you could easily just see posts from people you followed). This app really could be a little gem but it’s far too fiddly. My friends must think I’m doing the hokey cokey because I’m ‘in’ and then I’m ‘out’ but, to be honest, ‘shake it all about’ is something I would love to do to this app. It could be so, SO good. I want to like it, I really do, but I just can’t.
