With every update it gets worse. Now I have to reset my lights every single day, they turn on how they are suppose to then within hours they just do what they want- very maddening! Overpriced for all the problems! Can’t wait for them to just break and get a new product!!! ### 3/5 — Should allow customization *2025-12-29, version 3.1.8* You should either give more options or should give customization through app or a pc/Mac application. Get boring with just 6 sets of songs. ### 5/5 — No issues this year *2025-12-28, version 3.1.8* Update 12/29/25 so I did not have any issues this year at all. For the people who did here are some suggestions first the WiFi box needs to be as close to the outside as possible (if you need to put it outside then get a Tupperware container drill a hole for the cord and seal that hole with silicone not caulk) second every year I reset the WiFi box and have it sync back up. You never know what has changed. Third and final do not put everything on at once the first time. Do 5-10 first then add a couple each time. If you are having issues with it syncing this is how you will figure it out. As a reminder for everyone reading this, I have had this system since it came out in 2018, every problem you have I have already solved. Is this system perfect not at all be Gemmy has read our complaints and fixed a lot. At one point they were going to get rid of this system because of the complaints. They didn’t and I am thankful. Original 11/1/25 What ever OOL did this year they fixed most of the kinks. I bought a new hub this year and resynced all of my old lights to the new hub. This process took less than 15 minutes. I did this about a month ago and packed everything back up. I bought several new items and started decorating this evening. Everything old and new connected without any issues and looks great. Thank you OOL for doing everything to get it right. ### 1/5 — Your hubs are horrible *2025-12-18, version 3.1.8* Your first hub was horrible so I upgraded to the new hub and nothing has changed. I have fantastic Wi-Fi coverage in my front yard. Your hub refuses to see any of The candy, cane pathway lights or the lightbulbs. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this multiple times. This will be the last year I use any products from the orchestra of lights. Extremely not recommended for anyone. if I could give this zero stars I would but you will only be getting one star from me. I have tried for three years to get this to work and there is zero support from the factory and anytime you reset the hub nothing changes. ### 2/5 — Great Idea, Broken Timer *2025-12-15, version 3.1.8* The concept is excellent. Multiple light strings run through a hub, and manual control of lights and music works perfectly. The problem is the timer. It’s critical for automation, and it simply doesn’t work. Lights turn on at random times, ignore the schedule, or don’t turn on or off at all. I end up doing everything manually. This would be a great multi-product system if the timer worked, but that issue is a dealbreaker. ### 2/5 — It’s trash in a pretty package *2025-12-14, version 3.1.8* This app is super limited for what you expect. It’s great all your lights are linked but it offers no ability to control individual sections like net lights and the tree or standing lights they all have to be controlled at the exact same time. With pre programmed light shows it’s limited. The ability to select a custom color is nice and the preselected light combinations are more than I expected. But the fact the product is overall garbage can’t save the app. If you bought it. Take it all back before it’s too late like me. ### 5/5 — great christmas lights control app *2025-12-12, version 3.1.8* awesome program & lights- love the custom programs and abilities. only issue is that the OOL virtuoso speaker cannot be started again from the app timer if the power is shut off to it. i have to walk out in the yard and start it manually every night as keeping it continuously powered and using the OOL app timer was flaky (probably due to iOS) and sometimes needed to be reset. Otherwise this app & lights are awesome! ### 4/5 — Working Great *2025-12-10, version 3.1.8* Working great so far. Bought everything new this year with the hub. It all hooked up and worked without issue. The app leaves a bit to be desired. A few more native songs would be nice. It desperately needs the ability to schedule lights separate from the music. I’d like my lights to stay on for a while after I shut off the music for my neighbors’ sanity. It also needs the ability to play songs with a delay between songs. ### 2/5 — Light Themes *2025-12-06, version 3.1.8* What kind of Programmed Lights app developer thinks they don’t need a Christmas Holiday theme in the US. Really? Mardi Gras but no Christmas? Pretty sad. ### 2/5 — Limited options *2025-11-28, version 3.1.8* I wouldn’t purchase again. The six songs it comes with are fine but I consistently have to troubleshoot when I try to play my own music. This season is barely works with the programmed songs. Also it isn’t the traditional idea of “dancing” lights.
