## What is OrchidKeeper?

Orchid Keeper is a private, offline archive for your orchid collection. It keeps every plant's identity, its repotting and feeding history, its watering log and bloom records, and a photo timeline that shows how each plant has changed, all in one place and all on your own device.

Built for growers who keep more than a couple of plants and want to know exactly what happened, and when.

WHAT IT DOES

Collection
Keep a structured record for every plant: name, nickname, genus, species or hybrid, the date and source you acquired it, pot size, substrate recipe and substrate tags, plus notes and a cover photo. Favourite the plants you want on top, search by any of those fields, and sort by name, recently updated, recently acquired, or the next reminder that is due.

Stats at a glance
The top of the Collection shows three numbers: how many plants you keep, how many are currently in bloom, and how many reminders come due within the next week.

Care records
Log six kinds of event: Watering, Fertilizing, Repotting, Pest Control, Bloom and Note. Fertilizing records take a fertilizer name, an N-P-K ratio and a pH reading. Repotting records take a substrate recipe and substrate tags. Pest Control records take a treatment note. Bloom, Note and Watering records accept a leaf span measurement and a new-growth count. Every record can carry up to three photos.

Timeline
Every care record from every plant, newest first, grouped by day and filterable by type. The timeline is where you go to answer the question "what did I actually do last month".

Care calendar and reminders
Set a repeating reminder per plant, or one that applies to the whole collection. Choose the interval, the time of day and the start date. Reminders appear in a month grid on the days they fall due, overdue reminders are grouped at the top, and each one can be marked done or snoozed by an hour, a day, three days, or a week. Marking a reminder done also logs the matching care record for you. Notifications are scheduled locally by iOS. There is no server involved.

Photo timeline and comparison
Each plant has its own photo strip, newest first. Pick any two photos and view them side by side with the exact number of days between them and the weeks-since-repot figure for each date. It is the quickest way to see whether a new leaf really is wider than last year's.

Your data stays yours
Everything is stored on this device. Export a full JSON backup or a CSV of every care record whenever you want, through the standard iOS share sheet. Delete everything, permanently, with one confirmed action.
