The entire Orcomm system is rather antiquated. A single bus with a 2 minutes delay on communication, a gateway overpriced with proprietary protocol, and finally a mobile app (this one) that requires a subscription. 
The app crushes multiple time, doesn’t overwrite the local settings, have extremely limited functionalities and doesn’t justify the monthly price.
Disappointing on all the fronts.

Simple to set up, you won’t ever have to get out of bed to switch off the lights

My only advice would be to make sure that your apartment is ready for the app. Other reviews blaming the app for not connecting does not seem fair when clearly there system has not been setup to allow it.

The app was so easy with the setup wizard 
The last app was one star! Lot faster, great flow - looks like another smart app.
Only suggestion to orcomm is can you allow non orcomm blinds to work with this app.
