Violating privacy legislation

I gave them my email address when I signed up for an event. A week later I was suddenly getting tons of spam. I asked them to delete my account and I deleted my app. A month later I checked and my account is still active and the data is still there. I cannot say if my data was sold to spammers but it seems likely.
Stay away if you care about privacy.
