### 3/5 — Good Info, flawed design

*2014-09-30*

Lots of good info, the app really breaks down the why and how of many organic questions.

However, there are some seriously annoying functional issues with the app

### 3/5 — Average Help

*2013-12-04*

Pros
- Explains concepts in easy to understand ways
- Has an emphasis on fun while learning

Cons
- Feels unorganized/messy; needs to be cleaned up
- Content is minimal, helps to understand beginning material

If they polished this, and added content like practice quizzes and flash cards, I would buy this app.

### 4/5 — Good intro to org chemistry

*2011-09-25, version 1.2.0*

Is a good intro but very basic.

### 3/5 — O.K., I guess

*2011-08-27, version 1.2.0*

This is a good supplement for organic 101, but don't throw away your textbook. It is composed of a limited number of flash cards that hit the high points. If this is all you use for class you may get a C- in the course.

### 4/5 — Love, love, love, crazy love

*2011-06-29, version 1.1.0*

Great stuff keep it comin!

### 3/5 — chemistry with fun

*2011-06-25, version 1.1.0*

very interesting.

### 4/5 — Good

*2011-06-15, version 1.1.0*

Good basic essential for org chem student

### 2/5 — Review

*2011-06-13, version 1.1.0*

It's ok if u want a little review

### 4/5 — Useful

*2011-06-08, version 1.1.0*

The app was to advanced for my first year undergraduate organic chemistry but was still useful. Also funny :) good work

### 3/5 — Found an error

*2011-05-24*

Right off the bat I found a significant error. Nucleophilicity decreases left to right across a row of the periodic table, not increases. For example, carbanion is more nucleophillic than N - anion, which is more nucleophillic than an O- anion, which is more nucleophillic than a fluoride ion.

### 2/5 — Review

*2011-05-13*

Some of the information is incorrect. For example, it says that strong acids have large pka's. The trend for increasing atomic radius is wrong too. These were only the ones I noticed so there could be more. Not bad for an iPhone app though I suppose

### 2/5 — Decent

*2011-05-09, version 1.1.0*

Missed significant information. Set up in PowerPoint-like format. Nice as a general overview, perhaps suitable as a "refresher" but, as an orgo student, no the best study aid.

### 3/5 — Better than expected...

*2011-05-06, version 1.1.0*

Especially for a free app. It's missing a lot but I assume that would be included in a paid app. Good start, though.

### 3/5 — Organic chemistry essentials

*2011-05-01, version 1.1.0*

Can't remember a lot of this stuff and not enough explanation for me to remember either! Good when I do though :D

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Listen to the prof review below

*2014-10-12*

Not a good starting point, and would be I early simplistic for more advanced students.. Falls in the look I can make app too category

### 1/5 — Poor and with mistakes

*2014-08-26*

Over simplistic presentation of organic Chemistry with significant omissions. I'm an instructor and don't recommend this app to anyone.

### 1/5 — Absolutely pointless app

*2013-04-01, version 1.5.1*

This app is nor of chemistry, nor of organics, or anything. Absolutely pointless app

### 1/5 — Skip this one.. laden with errors

*2012-10-27, version 1.4.1*

nucleophilicity periodic table trend is wrong.. if you cant fact check the basics in org chem then it certainly couldn't accurately cover the "essentials".

### 1/5 — Error

*2012-02-13, version 1.2.0*

Saw the first 'slide' and knew this was going to be bad. Atomic Radius does NOT increase as you move from left to right across a period.

Uninstalled. An app designed to help teach/tutor with blatant errors is more dangerous than no app at all.

### 1/5 — Errors are everywhere!

*2011-06-23, version 1.1.0*

Whoever the f made this, you're an idiot. Thanks for the erroneous information dickhole.

### 1/5 — It's a good start...

*2011-04-30*

It's not a bad app. It had some really good conceptual information but the whole app is just...spotty. I mean, there is a whole tutorial on NMR spectra and how to read it, but what about MS or IR spectra? We use all three at my campus (and it's not that big) so I could have used a tutorial on all three major analysts tools used in Org Chem lab. Really, what this app needs is some good org chem flash cards.

I didn't find the ads intrusive. Maybe it was fixed.

### 2/5 — Fix the Errors?

*2011-10-07*

I downloaded this app in May and again now (October). With a new version in July, the errors should have been fixed. The very first slide still incorrectly labels atomic radius increasing left to right (big error), and Fe is ferrium, while Fe2+ shoud be on the "ferrous wheel" (minor error, but still wrong).

### 2/5 — Norganic

*2011-09-22, version 1.2.0*

Minimal useful info. Laden with ads. Forego.

### 2/5 — Eh

*2011-07-03*

Overall not bad.. Some information is not correct but any well-rehearsed ochem student would be able to figure that out by looking at the info. More time perhaps in editing the program? It seems like it was written by an eager ochem student from a community college or 1st year organic chem student.. The jokes are good but only use them if you are a real chem nerd and know your stuff thoroughly.

Awesome son! Do it!

### 5/5 — Very help full!

*2011-06-29, version 1.1.0*

This app showed good methods to learn how to understand chemical reactions and the periodic table.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2011-05-26, version 1.1.0*

Great review for OChem I or II!!

### 5/5 — T

*2011-05-10, version 1.1.0*

Cool 4 review like flash card

### 5/5 — It's a must have

*2011-04-29, version 1.1.0*

This is a great app for first year/second year organic chemistry as a study guide, or as an iPad-pocket sized dictionary.

I was skeptical at first that it would be just like another boring textbook reformatted as an app, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was a joy to read. It's filled with great diagrams, and in some cases funny star wars images to help you remember the facts :)

It's an absolute steal for $0.00 so grab it if you're into chemistry. The only bad thing about about this app is that I just wished I had this 2 years ago when I was studying organic chemistry.

### 5/5 — Like :))

*2011-04-26, version 1.1.0*

It's nice

### 5/5 — Big help!

*2011-04-23*

This app has helped me a lot to learn the basics of organic. I have the free version, but now want the full one!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2011-04-19, version 1.0.14*

Simply put amazing.
