Please contact support@orgro.org or open a ticket on GitHub if you still have problems. ### 2/5 — Trial, are you kidding me? *2026-01-27* 27 January 2026: Apparently “Trial Period” starts at the time of downloading the app from the app store as opposed to the first point in time you have opened the app. So, I did not open the app until today, and now it is telling me the trial period has expired. There was no trial period. So I resorted to Copilot to tell me exactly what “Org” is an how it is used. Given what I learned, I don’t believe I would use Org or Orgro because it is just to cumbersome just like Markdown is. Best of luck on an app 6hat the developer does not really intend to address feature requests … a.k.a., it is out there; but, absolutely no commitment to supporting the app. A very strange way you promote the use of an app. **Developer response:** If you are still interested in trying the app, please contact support. ### 2/5 — No file syncing? *2020-06-11* Edit: thanks for the response. Whatever the mechanism, the latest entry in my “recent files” doesn’t update when I press it (it’s days out of date by now). To update I have to delete the entry and reopen the. File from Dropbox. I was fine with it being read only, but does it really not sync automatically with Dropbox or iCloud files you’ve opened? I really need to reload the file every time I want to see the latest version? **Developer response:** There was a bug in that file content was not refreshed when opening from the Recent Files list. I've fixed this in v1.18.1. Please contact support@orgro.org or open a GitHub issue if you continue to have problems. ### 4/5 — Nice viewer, not an editor *2021-10-15* For what it is it does it well. This will let you view and search your org-mode files. Nice looking app, good user interface. I’m not such an org mode power user that I need just a viewer though, so I find i turn to other apps that have editing capability like beorg for daily use. If the developer adds editing and agenda use I would likely turn to this though - beorg focuses too much on the agenda and tasks, whereas I also just want to capture notes quickly and easily - I think this app would do that nicely. Again - for what it does it does it well. Just consider your use case. **Developer response:** Editing is now supported! ### 4/5 — Useful but can improve *2021-01-17* It works like a charm. I just miss two things: - improved search function that would allow to cycle over the search results - some basic editing capabilities with easy paragraphs reordering. Please keep improving it!! ### 4/5 — Great reading experience, clunky file access *2020-10-17* I use deft + org to organize my notes in emacs, and this is great for accessing them on the go. In particular the math rendering is awesome. My only complaint is that accessing files is hard. Searching by file name in the file browser doesn’t seem to work. If you update a file, you need to again locate and re-open the file to have it update in orgro. Functionality to index your org files and search by title or tag would be incredible. Overall i love it. Thanks to the developer! (Also, would be great to have non-monospace font options) **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. FiraGO is a proportional font. If you continue to have problems please contact support@orgro.org or open a ticket on GitHub. ### 4/5 — Great in its simplicity but could use some more features *2020-07-26* This is a great compliment to Beorg, which is my main orgmode tool on iOS. That tool is more meant for organization and agendas, though; sometimes I just want to see or edit a file and Orgro makes that much easier. Looking forward to new features. A big one I would like is the ability to mark checkboxes in checklists... especially in highly structured files (like shopping lists where items are broken into category) this is intrinsically difficult in beorg. I’d love to open up a list in Orgro and use one click to mark checkboxes. **Developer response:** Tapping to toggle check boxes is supported! ### 5/5 — I like the direction *2024-12-22* I like everything that the app is, except 2 things I’d like added: 1. Ability to adjust font size while in edit mode. This would be huge for me because I don’t want to have to change my system font scaling setting for 1 app. 2. Render while in preview mode is incredibly slow if the org file is at-all large. Maybe there could be a light-weight setting to do less text stylization (maybe that would with render speed? Idk). I would like to invite you to open an issue on the support page to discuss your suggestions. ### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for to view Emacs Orgmode files on mobile devices!!! *2024-10-05* I had given up on finding an app that would allow me to view my orgmode files in any useable manner on my mobile devices… and then I found Orgro. Kudos and thanks to the developer for this feature-rich app (narrowing, following links to other org files, display for tables and LaTeX formulae, …) for a really reasonable price and no ads in it. I can access them through the files app without any problems. Even complicated things like tables work well. I only miss an editing-functionality... ### 5/5 — Excellent org file viewer *2021-02-22* Works exactly as expected. I downloaded a 4 MB org file and opened it in Orgro. Drilling into the different levels an back with just tapping the affected header. It would be great to see “hi-lock” or something similar implemented to add coloring schemes to user defined Regular Expressions. **Developer response:** Thanks for the kind words. Tables display really well as does LaTeX - thanks Aaron! ### 5/5 — A simple, useful org viewer *2020-05-20* I had been looking for a simple app that would let me view org files. If you need editing, you'll have to look elsewhere for now but personally, just viewing org notes is exactly what I wanted. It supports opening any files that the Files app can see, including what are essentially virtual filesystems such as cloud storage.
