You can do NOTHING, and I do mean nothing with his app. Want to transfer money or receive? Good luck with the proof, old fashioned paperwork, proof and fees connected with that. Want to check the image of a check in your account? Nope! Those images don’t work. Want to see what’s pending? You can’t! Here and there, random amounts deposited will even appear and then disappear again, only to then reappear at a later time, whenever oriental decides it’s time. Want to be alerted when anything happens on your account via text, phone call or email? 100% impossible, apparently. I’m so glad their monthly fees for “service” are well spent. I have this bank because the choice in Puerto Rico for business is either this or popular - and this is like choosing between really bad diarrhea and slightly worse than really bad diarrhea, so that’s super fun. ### 2/5 — Sort of annoying! *2025-03-16* About every 3rd time I log in - so roughly 5 times per week - I have to re-fill user name, business number and password. It’s pretty annoying! And not that it’s the particular apps fault, but this bank is a joke. They block cards willy-nilly, and tell you nothing about doing it. I asked them about 10 times to please please PLEASE send a text, call or shoot an email when they block the card, and that seems an impossible task for them. The app does basically nothing besides show you the amount on the account. Many things pending doesn’t show up anywhere, so that can also be confusing. Want to make a transfer to anywhere, including another Oriental account…. Expect a mountain of paperwork, permissions, back-and-fourth, fees and restrictions in order to be able to do something, other banks let you do through their apps in seconds. ### 1/5 — Needs a ton of work *2023-01-31, version 5.0.0.2481* How is it that now a days we still have a bank app that takes days to update the information. A direct deposit shows up right away, but debits takes around 3 days to even show up or get the balance reduced. Other bank apps shows display authorizations, and charges immediately which helps better manage your account. Lacks functionality compared to other apps. It’s just disappointing, and bathe lack of initiative to have a good working app really reflects on the priorities and vision of the company. Make money and forget about the customer exoerience. ### 1/5 — App flojo y servicio overpriced *2021-08-14, version 5.0.0.2481* Primero, el acceso al app y el portal web cuesta $11 + IVU mensuales. Esto es por el acceso básico para ver los balances y es añadido al costo mensual de la cuenta. Por la cuenta de cheques y un usuario online yo pago $21 + IVU mensuales. Demasiado caro. El app en si no tiene Face ID, ni Passcode, ni Remember Me login. Esto significa que cada vez que quieres usar el app tienes que entrar los credenciales, que incluye el username, password, Company ID y, a veces, tu número de teléfono. Es un suplicio y una experiencia de usuario horrible incluso para los que usamos un password manager. Para completar, tienen un password policy que parece hecho para 1995 que no permite contraseñas de más de 12 caracteres y las expira como cada 90 días. Claro, si te expira la contraseña e intentas hacer login al app te falla el login y no te dice por qué. Tienes que adivinar que tienes que ir al portal web para poder cambiar la contraseña. Ese portal web, by the way, para hacer login tiene un 2FA compulsorio que solamente funciona haciendo una llamada telefónica. Nada de Authenticator app, llave U2F, o por lo menos mensaje de texto. Y si se te borra el cookie, otra vez a que te llamen por teléfono. Tremenda porquería de user experience. De verdad que es bochornoso que cobren tanto dinero por tan poca funcionalidad y, para colmo, todo sea tan terrible para usar. Fail. ### 1/5 — Not working *2019-12-12, version 4.3.10.172* Even though it reads “free” app I am unable to log in. After calling the bank they told me I need to sign up for an “online package”.
