Keep your bearings, wherever you are.

Orientation lets you choose up to six places and instantly see where they are in relation to your current position. Compare their direction and distance, view their coordinates, and keep important places in sight while traveling, walking, hiking, or going about your day.

Keep your hotel, parked car, starting point, meeting place, landmark, or any position you select on the map in view.

Good idea badly implemented. Edited all the 6 locations. Then it lost them all.

Very easy to use and really helpful when you go to a place you have never been. It is especially helpful for me because I haven’t been any where. 😂

Not sure what this good for other than showing points on a map. Can not get directions just a floating compass to show you where to go in a straight line to get to the point you selected. 

Not for driving maybe walking but I can get walking directions with maps….

**Developer response:** You're right, this app isn't useful for driving; Waze would do the job much more efficiently.
This app doesn't give you orders ("turn right", "turn left"...), and that's its main advantage: you'll never get lost, but you'll be free to choose your own path. 
This application is a Swiss army knife for finding your way around the world. It won't give you instructions on how to get from one point to another, but it will be useful for locating the position,  and distance of up to 6 points of interest. Some people use it to wander freely, knowing they'll never get lost. Others use it simply to understand their surroundings. Others use it to locate their car, hotel, favorite museum stores in a visited city, so they can walk from one point to another without having a GPS giving them orders. Personally, I use it when I'm in a boat, train or plane ( needs internet) and want to locate a town, lake or building, or simply know my speed and altitude.
Waze and Apple Maps are great Aps for getting from point A to point B quickly, but not so great when you're on a boat or discovering a new place in complete freedom.

It doesn’t do anything. Points to north and shows which direction is Eiffel Tower and Times Square. Big deal 🙄

**Developer response:** You can change the points to indicate any position you wish. Just click on the corresponding button, and change the position to those you want.

Ich verstehe den Sinn der App nicht. Da werden irgend welche hardcoded Sachen angezeigt die tausende Kilometer weg sind und das wars?!? Was kann die App was Google App nicht kann?

**Developer response:** Ihr Zweck ist ein ganz anderer als der von Google Maps: Sie zeigt Ihnen Ihre Position und Orientierung in Bezug auf andere Orte, ohne Ihnen einen Weg aufzuzwingen. Die Verwendungszwecke sind vielfältig:
-Ein Stadtrundgang ohne Zwang und ohne Gefahr, sich zu verlaufen
-Erkennen Sie Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Sie am Horizont sehen
-Zur Orientierung auf See
-Merken Sie sich Orte, damit Sie leicht zu ihnen zurückkehren können.
- und für jede andere Verwendung, die Sie mit Ihrer Kreativität finden können
