## What is Orinn Companion?

Orinn companion is the companion app for the Orinn family locator. It runs in the background and helps your family know where you are, in case something happens.

WHAT THIS APP DOES
• Shares your location with the parents in your family who set up Orinn.
• Lets you press an SOS button if you ever need help — it sends your location to your parents instantly.
• Lets you pause sharing for short breaks when you want privacy, with a timer.
• Shows you exactly what's being shared. Nothing is hidden from you.

WHAT THIS APP DOES NOT DO
• It does not read your messages.
• It does not see who you talk to.
• It does not look at what apps you use or what websites you visit.
• It does not show you ads.

THIS APP IS PARENT-MANAGED
Your account in this app is created and managed by a parent in your family. You can't sign up by yourself — your parent invites you. If you ever want to remove the app from your phone, ask your parent first.

### 1.1 — 2026-06-12

Smoother day-to-day, quieter when it doesn't matter:

- Tap a kid on the map, then pan to look at a saved spot or the wider area — the camera stays where you put it. A small target button reappears when you want to recenter on it.

- Watch Over now opens with the full start-to-destination route in view, not just the current pin. See the whole journey at a glance.

- Notifications group per kid on the lock screen. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, the stack gets an automatic summary ("Liam: 3 alerts").

- Focus modes respect what matters. SOS, off-route, sustained overspeed, and low battery break through Do Not Disturb. Routine arrivals stay quiet.

- Invite your kid with one tap. The Share button now sends a link that opens Orinn for Child on their phone with the 6-digit code already filled in — no typing.
