It took some of our older agency users a bit to get used to it. Things like trades, swaps or even putting in for overtime are 10 step processes where our old application was simple & straightforward. Was told this made things easier for payroll but for the staffing officers, chiefs and general ops members, what a debacle. ### 1/5 — Garbage 🤦🏻‍♂️👎🏻 *2021-07-06* This app is junk. Coding errors = if your phone is in night mode, all critical text is the same color as the background - meaning nothing is readable. It’s been this way for MONTHS. Seriously?? This isn’t considered a “critical” fix??? This error should have been assigned to someone DAY ZERO and worked until fixed… but nope! The desktop version is bad enough, the mobile app is 10x worse. Touted functionality/features in documentation are missing/abandoned. Where’s the PIN lock so I don’t have to enter the password EVERY time I use the app. How about supporting face unlock? Or biometric unlock of any kind? Or is that too “new” a option for your programmers to even tackle… Ugh. 🤮 Negative stars if it was possible. If your department is considering this software… run as far and as fast as you can in the other direction. Do you homework first. Our entire fire department switched to this steaming pile a month ago and our lives have been significantly more difficult since then. If you want your company/organization to take a big leap backwards in technology and time, then this is the program and app for you!! ### 1/5 — No utility *2021-04-24* Seattle Fire Department wasted money on this Orion program and it is the most non user friendly and completely non intuitive. Titles for categories are invisible because of the color combinations they chose. App frequently shows different information than what the department has listed. Despite setting up pin lock it wants full password. Latest update shows error messages every time I try to see my schedule. App looks like it was written as a junior high school project in the mid 90’s. Despite its poor presentation and limited functionality it takes a long time to load. Zero support on education of how to use it, most functions I had to figure out on my own and there isn’t any way to see if they are correct without constantly calling the staffing officer. What education was provided was often not what the product showed.
