## What is Ork?

Ork is a free AI calorie counter that learns from your body. Snap a photo of your food or describe it in your own words. Ork works out calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber and 15 micronutrients in seconds. With an Apple Watch you also get your energy level, sleep and recovery in the same app.

FREE, NO PAYWALL
Ork is completely free. No ads, and no trial that turns into a subscription. We never sell your data.

A CALORIE TARGET THAT ADAPTS
Calorie formulas can be off by 10–15 percent. Ork compares your target with how your weight actually changes. It adjusts the target when the gap is bigger than your weight's normal swings, and it always tells you when it does. If you'd rather decide yourself, you can set a custom calorie target.

AI FOOD LOGGING
Snap your plate or type "two eggs and a cheese sandwich". Adjust portions, split recipes into servings and quickly re-log your recent meals.

YOUR NUTRITION COACH
Every day you get a personal analysis of how you eat. It covers protein, fiber, energy balance and the nutrients you're short on, with concrete ideas for what to eat.

BLOOD TEST RESULTS
Take a photo of your blood test results. Ork reads the values, shows them against their reference ranges and tracks them over time. It links them to your diet, for example iron and ferritin.

ENERGY, SLEEP AND RECOVERY (APPLE WATCH)
Using Apple Watch data, Ork calculates your energy level from 0 to 100 based on sleep, heart rate, HRV, activity and recovery. You see sleep stages, daily strain and long-term trends, and you get a morning report every day.

WORKS WITH APPLE HEALTH
Ork saves nutrition data to Apple Health and reads your weight from your smart scale. Home Screen widgets show energy, calories and protein.

Medical disclaimer: Ork is a health and wellness app and is not a medical device. It does not provide medical diagnoses or treatment and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a doctor or other qualified healthcare provider before making any health decisions or acting on information provided in the app.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

Fixed:
• Without an Apple Watch you no longer end up in the Watch view.
• The daily report starts right after a manual sleep entry.

• Faster AI analysis and a refreshed design throughout.

Thanks to all our beta testers for making this release better!

### 1.1 — 2026-07-14

This update makes Ork smarter and calmer to use.
Your nutrition profile now answers "how am I doing?": for every nutrient you can see how much of your daily need you've reached — and exactly which meals it came from. For vitamin D, you'll also see your time in daylight (with Apple Watch).
Mornings feel faster and more reliable: your energy score and daily AI analysis now appear automatically, even when last night's sleep data is delayed — no need to restart the app.
Logging meals is easier: an example now shows right in the field, and the "Add" button is no longer hidden behind the keyboard.
We've also polished stability under the hood, so you see the right screens no matter which watch you use.
Thank you for all the thoughtful feedback — it shapes Ork!
