I felt some of the lives of the saints content to be too modern, containing unprofitable pop culture references. I would contend the Prologue of Ohrid is better suited, and may be found publicly available online. Also, it is jarring how it opens in some other format not matching the overall app aesthetic, unlike the remarks of St Theophan. In the “Life Of the Saints” section they had posted about Elijah the Prophet and this was in the text “ The memory of many of these prophets is, as it were, deliberately celebrated in the period before Christmas. The memory of others, Ezekiel, Elisha, Elijah, others, fell on the summer, which, we recall, ended the church year. This is a paraphrase of Lana del Rey's “summertime sadness” and holiness. This remembrance, important in theological terms, was extremely dear to many saints, and to the people of the Middle Ages.” this is supposed to be text from the 1st and 2nd century AD, why is it referencing lana del Rey?
