I’ve tried to uninstall and reinstall but to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Aside from that, I would recommend this app to anyone. ### 4/5 — App stopped working weeks ago *2026-01-27, version v2.5.1* App will not open. Just tells me to please wait while it loads data. But never loads. Doing the same on my husbands phone. We updated the app- still didn’t work. We tried deleting and redownloading n and nope still doesn’t work. I really liked this app for months but for the past couple weeks it just doesn’t work at all /: ### 3/5 — Stopped scrolling *2025-12-18, version v2.5.0* When it works it has a lot of great content and I recommend it. But now I cannot scroll down to the readings. Its tuck. I rebooted and even reinstalled. Sadly I cannot even contact the developers because those buttons are at the bottom of the screen. ### 3/5 — Great content - that doesn't always work. *2025-11-12, version v2.4.6* I have had this app for several years. I pay for the full subscription. I use it every single day in the morning and in the evening. One of the best features is the amount of information in the Synaxarion. However, lately it doesn't want to load. I came here in search of answers to see if other users were having the same issues and I see that they are. Again, I love this app. I prefer it over going to the OCA website, however what am I paying for if it's not actually working! The voice reading does work all the time however I like to read the information for myself, and I also love looking at the icon pictures that accompany the description. Please fix this app because I would hate to have to give it up. This is the reason I'm only giving it three stars - otherwise I would give it five. ### 4/5 — It a good app but it have some problems *2025-08-27, version v2.4.4* I’m just going keep this short, the subscribe thing is kinda annoying because it hart read everything that Saint said and to also hear what they sound like and do. ### 4/5 — Wish for audio scripture *2024-09-09, version v2.1.7* Love the app so far. Great design, lovely content. I wish there were also audio recordings of the scripture readings! I actually thought there were before I purchased and am disappointed. Also wish there were a continuous play feature so I could listen to, say, all the precommunion prayers in a row while driving without having to click each one. ### 5/5 — Love this App… But *2024-07-16, version v2.1.7* I really love this app. IMO it’s the best orthodox app I’ve seen so far. The updated version is a big improvement and compared to the previous version is greatly easier to navigate. I LOVE the audio readings of the lives of the saints and the homilies. My only suggestions are to put the scripture readings in audio, and the additional prayers as well. Thank you for replying to my concerns and offering a “fix” as it did help. Sooo I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this app for ALL Orthodox Christians (old or new calendar). I think it’s the best app. ### 3/5 — Confusing *2024-06-30, version v2.1.7* I can’t figure out how to use this app. I am stuck on the first page. ### 3/5 — Okay but it could be better. *2024-05-18, version v2.1.7* This app is okay, but it would be better if it had an option to make the font a lot larger in order to enable old eyes to read the prayers easier. Also, the paid version is supposed to have audio for certain sections. However, very often the audio does not work on some selections. Additionally, when you pay for the app, it only makes the paid version available on one of your devices. I paid for the version on my computer and then found out I would have to pay again in order to get the full version for my iPhone. There are a number of typos in the text - which is a bit annoying, but not so much that it would make me not pay for the app. The icons for the saints are sometimes mixed up showing the icon matched to the wrong saint - again a minor point. The narrartor of the prayers sounds like a very young girl with a soft voice who doesn't pronounce the words distinctly. It would be nice if she would articulate her words more clearly and without cutting off her consonants. Since I am on a fixed income, when the app expires (it's $14.99 per year) I may not renew my subscription. I have a pet-peeve about half baked apps - If I have to pay for an app, I think all the bugs and mistakes should be fixed before it is released and to put out an app with so many mistakes in it shows disrespect for the customer. ### 5/5 — It’s fixed! *2024-03-30, version v2.1.7* The calendar is fixed. Back to being the awesome app for Orthodox Christian that it has been. The Life of the Saints from the Prologue, reflections, homilies, and daily readings, all in one place ### 3/5 — Made it worse for no reason *2024-03-20, version v2.1.5* Loved this app and subscribed for years. Recently they updated it to have a very confusing and clumsy UI. Hard to get to the things that I want and a lot of the material seems to have errors. Worst thing is that the beautiful icons on the home screen were replaced by bizarre and ugly watercolors. Very strange and not a welcome change. Not at all. The previous version had more readings (which—let’s be honest—was the main reason anyone downloaded this app), was far more attractive, and the option to customize based on patriarchate was a nice touch, now sadly gone. Navigation—once you figured it out—made more sense. The new layout and organization seems dumbed down and less personal. I’m glad this app exists, of course. Any app of this sort is a blessing. I just wish the developer(s) had gone a different direction with the update. I’ll gladly increase my rating if the next(?) update is an actual improvement. + ### 3/5 — Love this App… But *2024-01-03* I really love this app. IMO it’s the best orthodox app I’ve seen so far. BUT what happened to the audio readings of the Reflections? In the previous version there were audio readings of the Reflections. I’m HUGELY DISAPPOINTED they’re gone. PLEASE bring those back!! I would also recommend the scripture readings in audio, perhaps some of the prayers as well. **Developer response:** Have you received the latest update? Reflections audio is back. :) Note that the audio button at the bottom of the app plays all the audio available for the day. Excellent! *2023-11-04, version 1.3.13* There are so many things I love about this app. I only regret that I haven’t reviewed it earlier. It’s very convenient to have the saints of the day, the daily Bible readings and a daily homily in one app. I especially like the sermons, thought of the day, and other commentaries. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Very buggy *2025-08-28, version v2.4.4* It’s a pricey app and all its features don’t necessarily work. For example, when I go to a previous or future date, it shows all of the information for today’s date only. Therefore I really only have access to today’s information. Saints have always been slow loading, but got slower and slower, to the point sometimes, they no longer load at all. I am paying quite a bit for this app, so I do expect it to function. The problem has nothing to do with my internet connection or phone. Everything else I use works just fine. I contacted the app makers in the hopes that they could help. They told me to submit “send developer logs” via the app. Guess what? That doesn’t work either. I haven’t heard from them in weeks. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app helps, but I would have to do it daily in order to see improvement. It’s disappointing. PS: I see the app developers tell other users the same thing they told me. “It works perfectly.” Ummm…no, it doesn’t. The user shouldn’t have to reinstall it so frequently. That’s ridiculous. ### 1/5 — Saints no longer load *2025-08-01* Saints have always been slow loading, but got slower and slower, to the point that they no longer load at all. I am paying quite a bit for this app—it’s pricey, so I do expect it to work. The problem has nothing to do with my internet connection or phone. Everything else I use works just fine. In fact, the readings and everything else on this app work fine. It’s just the saints. That was the main reason I subscribed. I have emailed them in the hopes of their fixing this major issue. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t recognize existing subscription *2024-04-07* I got charged for a full year , but 8 months in, the app already treats me as unsubscribed. It overcharges, anyway. Could be a good app,but you might as well go with one of the other, free Orthodox calendar apps. ### 1/5 — HDMR *2020-06-11, version 1.3.3* UPDATE: I received the following reply from the developer: "Deinstall and install again. The app works perfectly. Also, there is option Restore subscription." I’ve done this thee times. The app still doesn’t load and function. Just crashes after displaying the splash screen. This app was great when I first installed it, but it hasn’t been working for quite a while. The splash screen comes up, then immediately crashes and won’t open. And yet they still took my annual renewal fee recently. I’ll file a claim with my bank to get that back. ### 1/5 — Was great at first *2020-05-29, version 1.3.3* Then it stopped working during Lent 2019. The promise of fixes was constant, but never materialized. It’s too bad because when it was good it was good. ### 1/5 — Are you refunding or crediting? *2020-03-27, version 1.3.3* This app is great when it works but it was not till the end of March before you provided content for 2020. The same issue occurred last year. How can you justify changing up to $18.98 for a annual subscription and not providing content for almost 25% of the time that was paid for. I would love to support this app but until you rectify this issue of paying for access that we don’t get and for having the same delay in data every year, I will not be spending more money on this. Also, please do not claim this was a “technical” issue like you have in other posts. This was, for two years in a row now, you all not being timely in updating the database. ### 1/5 — Don’t buy, it’s broke *2020-03-19, version 1.3.2* I downloaded this in Nov 2019, a month later the only feature that still worked was the daily prayers. The developer said they’d have it fixed by the end of Jan 2020. It’s now March 2020 and it’s still broke, no change. I paid $15 for the premium version, too bad the developer doesn’t care about its customers. ### 1/5 — Paid for full version and it stopped working *2020-01-07, version 1.3.2* As soon as I paid for the full version of this app it stopped showing me prayers and Saints. Disappointed there’s no one to go to for a refund. ### 1/5 — VERY Disappointed! *2020-01-06, version 1.3.2* Just discovered the app today, was very excited. Downloaded app. Opened app, was offered choice of Old or New Calendar. Chose Old. App shows Old Calendar date and NOTHING else! No Saints, nothing promised for the free version. If the free version works this poorly, I’m not about to update to a pay version!! It appears the developers have totally abandoned the app! They also make the mistake of putting the Civil Calendar date first…. Even better is the option of being able to listen, if you want, having the words of the lives of the saints, the reflection and homily of the day, and the prayers; spoken and impeccably presented with accurate pronunciation.
