But then the other day I got a random notification that my account had been “upgraded successfully” a month after I had already purchased premium.. And ever since I got that notification, “actual” info and vehicle history won’t come up for a single car I’ve searched for. Including cars I had searched for in the past/already had open. Info just *poof* and gone out of nowhere. No mileage, no vehicle history, nothing… Makes zero sense. The problem, now, is that when I search, there are no longer any histories of the vehicles I search. It’s not even an option anymore. I thought it was a fluke… Nope! I’ve tried to run a TON of cars unsung the vin and the plates and I can’t see anything anymore. IDK if it’s some thing CarMax told them to stop doing or what, but You can’t see any of it… Do not get this app or go premium. All you can see is the year make model and common failures/recalls. Not worth it. ### 1/5 — What happened to mileage and report? *2023-01-11, version 5.0.8* The app was fantastic a while ago and I wanted to give it 5 stars, but then recently i’ve found out that for EACH car you have to pay for the report. Before, mileage and service history was free and now it’s not?? Not only that, there’s people on here who have PAID FOR A SUBSCRIPTION and now they have to pay for reports too?? Complete blasphemy. ### 1/5 — Is like every other car history app now *2022-12-31, version 5.0.8* I liked this app when you could pull free simple history reports, even when it limited the number of vehicles you could look up a month. But now that feature is gone and you have to buy a car fax for any car you want to see. Deleted the app because it’s useless now. Can just skip the middle man and buy the report from carfax. ### 1/5 — Disappointed- no more free history reports *2022-12-14, version 5.0.8* This used to be a great app. In fact, as a car nerd, it was one of my absolute favorite apps. It provided unlimited detailed vehicle history reports, more detailed than any app or website provided other than a $35 Carfax report. I was proud to be an Orto subscriber. Unfortunately, these haven’t been available for the past few weeks. I don’t know if it’s a temporary issue or if they’re permanently gone as I suspect. The license plate search feature still works, but without the free history reports, I see no reason to continue my subscription, not when the Carfax Car Care app provides similar information for free. I have to say I’m extremely disappointed. I loved this app. ### 1/5 — It’s Bad Now *2022-12-07, version 5.0.8* Just recently the app no longer works. I reached out to Tom via email and was told he would look into it after I sent him details and information. I asked for an update and no reply. This was the best app, I decided to upgrade to the premium version and still doesn’t work. I had to cancel my subscription, why pay for something that doesn’t work. It was much better prior idk why changes are made to something that worked very well. Luckily I found someone who is able to run me carfax history reports for a very small fee. Tom, let me know if you do find the issue or resolve and il gladly change my review. You had something very good with this app before. ### 1/5 — Not happy *2021-12-19, version 3.6.1* A friend of mine introduced me to this app. I thought it was cool how she snapped a picture of my license plate. And it showed everything about my truck. I was stunned. I went to show another friend of mine about it. Well I just got the standard email one. And everything was wrong. I asked her what I did, and she said she has the premium. So she came over and we both took a picture of my license plate. Again hers was right no. Where mine was wrong. Why is it that you only give the premium people the right stuff? Why not all that use your app? **Developer response:** Hey. Thanks for the review. Honestly, the free version is exactly the same as the paid for one when it comes to the data. I promise! The only thing I can think of is that maybe your camera is slightly different to your friends and it maybe read the plate incorrectly. Can you drop me an email at "mail@orto.mobi" and we'll get to the bottom of it. All the best, Tom ### 1/5 — Scam *2019-11-04, version 1.3.1* Downloaded app and of course the first thing they want is your email address and to register a password. Then they tell you to go to your email and click a link to verify your email. Then you get some bs on why it didn’t work because the link already expired. Try again. But you can’t try again because now it tells you that your email address already belongs to another account. I tried it with 2 email addresses. Same result. ### 2/5 — Used to be Good!!! *2022-12-15, version 5.0.8* I buy and sell cars. This application was excellent, I bought the membership to be able to check the history of the cars, until I made an update. Now, no longer lets you see any of that. It sends you to another page and they want to charge you for each independent car. I am very disappointed. ### 2/5 — Bring Orto back ! *2022-12-08, version 5.0.8* App used to be great had more information about title status , number of owners , maintenance records etc. I paid for 6 month and only have been almost 1 month and the app is not longer giving that info that it used to give .
