## What is ORVO Authenticator?

ORVO Authenticator is the companion security app for the ORVO POS system. It provides two-factor authentication for managers, ensuring that high-risk actions like voids and refunds are always authorised by the right person.

HOW IT WORKS

Your device is linked to your ORVO manager account during shop setup. Once linked, the app generates a rotating 5-digit security code that refreshes every 30 seconds. This code can be used to log into ORVO back-office systems or as a fallback when the shop has no internet connection.

For high-risk actions on the till -- such as voids, refunds, and large discounts -- the app receives push approval requests. Review the details, then tap Approve or Deny. Only managers who are physically near the shop receive these requests.

KEY FEATURES

- Rotating 5-digit TOTP security code (works fully offline)
- Push approval requests for voids, refunds, and overrides
- Location-based routing -- only nearby managers are notified
- Biometric lock (Face ID / fingerprint) protects access
- Activity log with full audit trail
- Auto check-in when you arrive at your shop

SECURITY

Your secret key is stored in your device's secure enclave (iOS Keychain) and is never transmitted after initial setup. The app requires biometric authentication every time it is opened. No passwords are stored. No analytics or tracking SDKs are used.

REQUIREMENTS

- An active ORVO POS account
- A company code and setup token provided by your account owner
- Internet connection for initial setup and push notifications (TOTP codes work offline)

PRIVACY

ORVO does not sell, share, or transfer personal data to third parties. See our full privacy policy at orvopos.com/privacy.html

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.7 — 2026-09-10

Fixes an approval that could stay on the watch screen after you had answered it. The app now repairs its link to the watch on its own if that link is lost.

### 1.4.6 — 2026-08-21

- Managers in the shop now always show up on the till when an approval is needed - no more typing a code because your name dropped off.
- The app opens smoothly, with no jump on the loading screen.
- Updates now download reliably in the background.

### 1.4.4 — 2026-07-01

Approval requests now reach your Apple Watch directly, so they arrive at the same time as your phone — approve or deny straight from your wrist.

The on-watch notification is also tidier when the app is already open.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-06-28

Apple Watch improvements:
• Approvals now reach your watch reliably, even when your phone is asleep. Tap the notification on your wrist to approve or deny.
• The code screen shows your logo when the watch dims, and the live code when you raise your wrist.
• Fixed the code occasionally changing partway through the countdown.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-06-25

ORVO is now on your Apple Watch.

• See your current sign-in code right on your wrist — no need to reach for your phone.
• Approve or deny till requests — voids, refunds, cash drops — straight from your watch.
• Add ORVO to your watch face or Smart Stack to open your code with one tap.

Plus faster approvals and a few visual tidy-ups throughout.
