Last week I canceled the subscription after I just made it, l was not able to cancel the visit so I turn up at 7 am and waited for the cleaner that never came .
After I complained, you simply said sorry, the technician was not assigned to my subscription (inspite having got a confirmation email and in app) then I got a refund of half of the money (where is my other half ?) now I got charged again for the full amount! What is happening? The app is as confusing as it can be to be a scam ! I demand my money back.

I’m really disappointed with my experience with Oscar.

I booked a sofa cleaning yesterday and specifically selected two female practitioners, as I was going to be home alone and did not feel comfortable having a male practitioner in my home. However, I didn’t receive confirmation from Oscar until later today, and when I did, I was informed that a male practitioner had been assigned.

I contacted customer service straight away to explain the situation, but unfortunately they said they couldn’t do anything because he was already on his way. I had originally booked for 5pm, but he also said he would arrive at 4pm, which made the situation even more uncomfortable for me.

I even asked whether the appointment could simply be rescheduled to Sunday, when my husband would be home and I would feel much more comfortable. Unfortunately, no helpful solution or refund was offered. Instead, I was charged a cancellation fee despite the fact that the issue was caused by the booking not matching the practitioner preference I had selected.

I understand that things can sometimes go wrong with bookings, but I expected customer service to help find a reasonable solution in a situation like this especially when it concerns someone entering your home and a preference that was clearly selected when making the booking.

I’m extremely disappointed with how this was handled and, unfortunately, I’ve decided to delete the app and will not be using Oscar again. Customer service really needs to do better when situations like this arise.

I paid to get my windows cleaned, inside and especially outside and in the inside frames. But the service covers only the inside…WHAAAAT?!?!?

This company has a lot of work to do if they want to deliver a good service. We ordered a “deep clean”, which had a full list of services included - dusting, fridge clean, baseboard cleaning - none of that was provided. I was offered a 20% refund or having the same person return (after having been almost an hour late and called at the time they were due to arrive telling me so). Go with a friend recommendation or someone you know. Not worth it. 

If I had one positive thing to say it would be that the people I’ve dealt with - both customer service and the professional - were very nice people, but their resolutions and service did not at all meet standards.

Twice I’ve tried them and both times the technicians didn’t do the job correctly. First a technician ruined my 2500€ couch. I was offer 5% refund. The second time I hired a technician to snake my toilet. They showed up with just a screwdriver and he said there was nothing he could do. I got charged €60 and was offered 30% back but literally the technician didn’t even try. Both times when I was offered partial refunds, they never actually issued them and the customer service just stopped responding. Avoid this app.

I booke a service for the first time. It got confirmed. 12 days later, on the day of the service no one showed up. 20 minutes later i receive a call from Oscar Client Support saying they had no one confirmed because there was not enought information for the job. I asked why are you calling me just now when this is schedulled for 12 days already.

Extremely poor, never to be trusted or used again.

Absolutely unprofessional and unreliable service. I ordered multiple cleaning services, check out cleaning, some other services. Not even once did technician came in time. They send random people, no one is verified as they claim, it’s literally random dudes who decided to make easy money, they accept services they have no experience at and Oscar will do nothing. I had a dishwasher repair service, nothing was fixed, still I was only refunded 40%. Last drop is the cleaner who canceled the service half an hour before the scheduled time. No solution provided and I’m so frustrated about how unreliable it is. I wish I read reviews before, so much time and and money wasted

I purchased an end of tenancy cleaning and the apartment was already cleaned by me and then they send me a cleaner he didn’t do anything and their justification was that I didn’t left a mob or bucket or cloth, it was really scam I had to pay for another cleaner to finish the work will never use it again.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. The app clearly advertised “vacuum sofa and rugs,” but the cleaner who arrived had no idea what he was doing and didn’t bring any equipment to clean a sofa. On top of that, he showed up an hour late for the booking.

I refused the service because it was obvious nothing could be done, and he didn’t even enter my home. Despite this, customer service is refusing to issue a refund, claiming the service was somehow provided.

This is completely unprofessional sending someone late, unprepared, and without the proper tools is not the customer’s fault. Charging for a service that was never delivered is unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking.

Contraté un servicio de limpieza de balcón para un día muy importante, el cumpleaños de mi hija, con cita a las 11:00. El técnico nunca apareció y, lo más grave, nadie me avisó en ningún momento.

Tuve que ser yo quien contactara con la empresa para averiguar qué estaba pasando. La respuesta fue que habían tenido un problema interno y que no podían ofrecer el servicio ese mismo día, sin ninguna alternativa real.

PEsto me obligó a salir antes del trabajo y encargarme yo misma de la limpieza a última hora, con el estrés y el descontrol que supone en un día así.

La única solución ofrecida fue la cancelación con reembolso (algo básico cuando no se presta el servicio) y un 50% de descuento que, además, es una promoción general disponible para cualquier usuario, por lo que no supone una compensación real por el perjuicio causado.

He sido clienta habitual, he utilizado el servicio en varias ocasiones e incluso lo he recomendado públicamente tras colaborar con ellos, pero la gestión de esta incidencia y la falta de soluciones adecuadas han hecho que pierda completamente la confianza.

No se trata solo del fallo, sino de cómo se responde ante él. Y en este caso, ha sido muy decepcionante.

Booked in for a deep clean, booking process was straightforward enough but you don’t get to choose who comes to your house and I was only aware of who was coming about half an hour before their arrival. The guy was half hour late, he was dressed for the club not work, he wasn’t willing to talk when I asked him what other people do as in shall I leave or stay he couldn’t answer me and then he saw a pile of dishes and literally ran away without saying anything. Initially the customer support person was trying to explain that dishes weren’t included and I would get refunded half but they changed their mind and I did receive a full refund but I wanted my cleaning done.

I can’t say anything to the quality of their product because the first time I tried to use them the “technician” claimed they showed up but I wasn’t there. Which was a lie. The second time I tried to use them, no one showed up and they didn’t bother to let me know. So, find a better way to get things done in your home because Oscar will only make things worse.

I tried Oscar out for the first time a couple of months ago with a simple job of an oven clean. 

The person who turned up was a very young lad who clearly did not have a clue what was required to clean an oven. I had paid for the materials and cleaner to be included. He brought a cheap surface cleaner intended for dusting, and a pair of gloves and that’s it. He seemed baffled that after an hour he was struggling to clean the oven. I told him where the shop was so that he could buy some proper oven cleaner. He then went on to pour the oven cleaner into my child’s food bowl which is extremely dangerous. 

I don’t actually blame the lad who appeared to have learning difficulties and was just trying to make a living, and this app provided an easy platform for him to get work. But I’m appalled that OSCAR claim that they have vetted professionals as if they have any control over who is signing up to this app when they absolutely do not!

The AI images in their marketing and scattered through the app of 
 professionals in Oscar uniform are made to imply that there is some kind of organised process for hiring people, or that it is in any way run in a professional and safe manner. It is not. Do not be fooled. In my experience with them, it was a harmless young man who didn’t know what he was doing but really needed the cash. But this could get very dangerous if somebody with ill intent signed up to this app and entered your home.

I have disabled SMS notifications and they keep sending SMS to me every week, I open their app and see that they ENABLED SMS notifications that I previously turned off, what is this even? Like what are you doing?

I booked a clean which was accepted but the cleaner never showed up but the money was collected but never refunded, I raised a complaint with photo evidence of me asking the cleaning if they would still make the clean. Nothing was done never got any response, I have tried to delete my account several times but it will not allow me so I just had to log off the scam of an app.

I arranged a contract for 2 cleanings a month. After sevaral cleanings I started getting repeated no shows, requests for rescheduling (and no shows on those appointments), and no prior communication about cancellations. They draw you in with good pricing and then provide lousy service. And customer service is awful.

Fiz uma subscrição de limpeza 2 meses atrás. Nenhum técnico foi atribuído pra limpeza que estava agendada pra hoje. 

Isso tem sido um problema recorrente, já é a terceira vez que acontece em 15 dias.

Não sei se meu perfil está com problemas, se tem um bug no app, ou se a plataforma ainda não está preparada pra oferecer assistência pra demanda que tem. Mesmo porque toda vez que entro em contato com o suporte, o suporte também leva 20 minutos pra me responder, fico mais de uma hora no chat pra receber 4 mensagens.

A proposta é ótima, o serviço pessimo.

I’ve tried to use this twice and twice either on the day of or the day before they cancelled as they couldn’t find a cleaner, even with over a weeks notice.  Looking at their google reviews it’s a common occurrence, don’t waste your time

I've not even used it and its sending me a dozen notifications every day. In the settings I have to turn off all notifications, even important ones about jobs, to turn off the promotional ones.

I downloaded the App and booked and paid for a service. Nobody turned up. No human to help you. No one to answer any questions. The app asks if you wish to speak to an agent and after 85 minute wait I was so annoyed I gave up. I felt this must be a scam. They must know nobody turned up. They have kept the money. Still nothing a week later 🥲

I am extremely happy with the cleaning service. Brenda was very efficient, professional, humble, and kind, and she did the job spot on. Every area was cleaned thoroughly, and she paid great attention to detail. She worked with such care and respect for my home, which I really appreciated. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. I would highly recommend her to everyone and would definitely request her again. An excellent cleaner and a lovely person.
