### 4/5 — Not bad

*2011-02-28, version 0*

Not a bad app would like to see duty cycles and periods in the future though

### 4/5 — Pretty good :)

*2009-06-18*

Not professional, but very practical. The square wave isn't perfect but the description did say that. I was pleased to see that you can change the minimum and maximum frequency points. An update with pink noise instead of white noise would be much appreciated.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2009-05-29*

but I really do wish it had pink noise as well as white noise!

### 4/5 — Simple, Functional, Wonderful

*2009-03-18*

Does what is says. If you narrow the Q, you get a more accurate tone. Yes, pink noise would be nice. If you are looking for "white noise machine" this will stop generating when iPhone screen sleeps.

### 5/5 — Doesn't work in sleep mode!!

*2009-02-27*

This app is great except the sound shuts off when the iPhone goes to sleep!!!! The iPhone's screen shuts off after a few minutes which turn off the sound!!!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2009-01-28*

If you're looking for a frequency generator this is it. And for the other reviewers, what do you expect an ocillator to do! This app does everything it says and you can edit the frequency range too! Good buy!

### 5/5 — Lovely ...

*2009-01-10*

Please please PLEASE - give us the ability to jump around the frequency by tapping along the fader!? This is a new instrument waiting to happen! An addition of a resonance and cut off fafer would escalate this app into a must have for most music making people. (me thinks)

### 5/5 — Simple but useful

*2008-11-22*

You have 3 waveforms and noise. Frequency, pan, and volume are the parameters. The slider range for frequency can be changed to virtually anything. I set a one octave range between 300hz and 600hz so I could have higher sensitivity. I later changed the max to 6000hz and the iPhone played it fine.

One trick I learned is changing waveforms quickly and repeatedly to get a nice trigger effect.

Even though it doesn't have cutoff, you can manipulate it physically by partially and completely covering the speaker on the iPhone.

### 5/5 — Perfekt, ich kann unterwegs...

*2008-11-17*

- Volle Punktzahl.

### 4/5 — almost perfect

*2008-11-17*

great app! if it had pink noise it would be 5 Stars!!! so how bout an update?!

### 5/5 — 33 hz

*2008-11-06*

Just figured out to get below 100 hz - using the 'Edit' button on lower left, type in any frequency you want. Great App!!

### 4/5 — Wicked little app!

*2008-10-13*

Very handy little app that I have used in my music tech lessons. Although like its been said before, 20Hz - 20kHz or something very close would make it a 5+ app at this price!

### 5/5 — Great.

*2008-09-27*

Love it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — The worst

*2025-05-29*

Didn’t even output any sound. I’ve seen the same complaints as others. Really should be a 0 out of 5

### 1/5 — Doesnt work.

*2025-02-22*

This app does not work at all. I think it is just a scam to steal $1 from you. Do not download.

### 1/5 — Poof

*2025-02-12*

Didn’t make a sound :(

### 1/5 — Update!!!!!

*2008-11-05*

Please update it doesn't work with the new update!!!!! I rebooted the phone deleted it and bought it again and everything and it still doesn't work!!! Please update!!!

### 2/5 — Not

*2009-01-16, version 0*

Not much use for it

### 2/5 — Apprezzabile ma del tutto inutile

*2008-08-19, version 0*

Almeno si sommassero le onde... :)

### 3/5 — Has definite potential for Live Production application.

*2008-11-11*

Since you can reset the highest/lowest frequency in the oscillator, this coud be useful for testing speakers in your venue or shop. Sweeping frequencies doesn't sound super "steppy" like some digital oscillators I've played with.

All it needs is Pink Noise, which shouldn't too difficult to add.

For .99 cents this is quite cool. Well done.

### 3/5 — good, but needs improvement

*2008-09-02*

In order to get real live use out of this app, I'd need to see the names of notes on the slider. For instance, instead of telling me '440,' couldn't we have the option to have it say 'A'? This would greatly help me make this app wonderfully useful. Also, if you ever want to make an ondes martonet instrument app, I would pay as much as $10 for it. Until then, I believe this app is the closest to that instrument, but I am only half satisfied and I will not be recommending this app to anyone until the metamorphosis from frequency #'s to lettered notes occurs.

### 3/5 — Very basic, aber es funktioniert

*2008-08-17*

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works great.

*2017-11-27*

Always been a great app. Works flawlessly for me.

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2012-07-29*

I love the app's simple interface and many options. I do wish for a triangle wave option, though.

### 5/5 — Test

*2011-04-21, version 0*

### 5/5 — Great App.

*2010-04-18*

This app has been a great resource for me to calibrate some of our equipment. The only thing I would request is that field for the volume be editable as well so thats it is easy to set some known values.
Otherwise thanks heaps!

### 5/5 — Works just right.

*2009-08-02*

I wanted a simple sine wave generator so I could informally test my audio gear (and my own hearing). This program does the job just right. Nothing fancy, works great.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2009-05-30*

Does what it says it will - nothing more, nothing less. Obviously a niche product but it worked brilliantly for what I needed it for.

### 5/5 — Great oscillator

*2009-04-28, version 0*

This application is also like misquito repellant. Hope you create an oscilloscope.

### 5/5 — Simple and fun.

*2009-04-22*

Good work! Minor UI gripes: it's a bit rough. Still functional, however.
