When we would choose the icon at the bottom to swap the characters for the different coding patterns, the game would glitch and would stop registering the correct tiles on the board, often times indicating there were tiles down that actually weren’t. After about five minutes he said it was too annoying and wanted to play something else. You can turn off usage of the "Character Blocks" in the settings menu under the Gear Icon. It is located in the top left corner of the game screen.
