Osmosis is a different kind of solitaire game. Totally free! No in-app purchases. The objective is to promote all cards onto the board. The board has four columns, one for each suit. Cards that match the suit of the first column can be promoted at any time. You cannot promote a card to the other columns unless the card of the same rank is populated to the immediate left. TRADITIONAL RULES: With traditional rules there are four piles of reserve cards with four cards each. Only the top card may be played. You can cycle through the deck three cards at-a-time as many times as you like. STRATEGIC RULES: The traditional rules don't allow for much decision making or strategy so MmpApps added a more strategic version of the game. In the strategic version rather than having reserve piles you get four empty cache spots that can hold one card each. You get two passes through the deck three cards at-a-time to win the game. Super annoying. I'd gladly pay for an ad-free version. And as reviewed previously, an undo button would be a great addition. ### 2/5 — Osmosis *2021-04-20* I enjoy the game. Also, the ads are obnoxious, and the app has no option to buy ad removal. Will update later when I have tried it. / Update, it’s unfair until it has SHUFFLE option, like real cards have. / Try “Crazy Quilt” solitaire too, developers Crystal Squid. It would be nice to have undo, but it’s ok without. It’s the advertising. If you love the current president, no problem. If you think he needs to go, having to see an ad about how great he is, is super annoying. I didn’t love the app enough to keep it. Currently video ads will suddenly pop up, in a completely new window, and start playing halfway through a game. ### 4/5 — Not bad but ads! *2015-11-26* I learned this game from my mother decades ago. This setup doesn't require you to draw the same "key" card for subsequent suits in order to put more cards on that suit. Then there are the ads after nearly every game and the persistent request to download Google. Thanks, I'll pass on this.
