Not happy. ### 3/5 — Feel cheated by extra costs *2022-07-20, version 4.18* I got this app on a recommendation for a project I am about to do and was told I’d need the paid version but it was worth it. So I download and start tinkering only to discover that one of the features I need involves a further purchase. Not cool in my book. I am however impressed with the number of available settings that can be tweaked. I just can’t get over paying for the premium version and then having to fork out more than the original price again if I want to use all of the features. Fantastic features to customize projects. I’ve worked with the app quite a bit already and feel like I haven’t even scratched the surface of what’s possible. AND it’s clear and easy to navigate and play with. As if it couldn’t get better: After stumbling upon a small bug, I emailed the developer who very promptly responded with exact instructions on how we could best proceed. Justin fixed it and submitted the update immediately, no issues since. This dude and his app are legit. Highest recommendation and gratitude. (I would prefer to pay more for the pro version in the first place and not have any in app purchases, but that is just a detail. The program is a professional tool at the price of a game you would play once so not a serious complaint). I have heard a rumor that this app will be able to switch between the 3 cameras of the iPhone 11 Pro soon. Please add timestamps!! ### 5/5 — Enjoying OSnap! But I Need Help With One Thing *2018-12-21* I’ve been using OSnap for many years on a few different devices and recently I’ve had a problem. When I’m shooting pictures, my lighting is completely the same but when I play the video I’ve made, the lighting appears to get brighter and darker randomly. I’ve played with the exposure and white balance but nothing is solving my problem. I’ve never had a problem like this before and I don’t know what to do. **Developer response:** Hi! Thank you!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Long time user - lost *2026-06-25* I had the very original when Starbucks in conjunction with Apple gave out freebie baseball style cards with free music and apps. That’s how long ago. That original app got phased out so I had to buy this junk called “PRO”. I didn’t mind because I had pro & was supporting a developerbut I was duped. Throttled with limits that shouldn’t exist. I’m back years later to see it’s no better and cost more. Another app I can delete to make room for something legit. Existing owners have never lost access to features they previously purchased, and no version of the app has been phased out. Over the years we’ve added many new features, some of which are available as optional in-app purchases for specialized functionality. To clarify, you can control exposure/focus/white balance by tapping anywhere on the camera screen and then using the lock icons to lock each of these components separately. Also, you can cycle through the hardware camera lenses (including the wide angle) by tapping the bottom center button on the camera screen. But wait, you don’t get voice over with the £5.99 upgrade that’s an extra £1.99! The app looks exactly like the regular version with no major improvements and it’s now going to cost me £1.99 for the only one that’s actually useful. I upgraded because it looks like the new version, will be a subscription model, and we all know that’s always a good thing for the user right? Couldn’t be more disappointed. Don’t upgrade. Closest feature I can find is photo import which is additional purchase on top of the already expensive app. I wasted $4. ### 1/5 — Not happy at all!! *2021-02-10* I paid 4.99 to purchase this app, only to find out I also have to pay .99 to import any photos. And if I want to save or export whatever project I make I then have to pay an additional 1.99, plus .99 extra if I want voiceover. Now I’m not a math wizard, but that comes to just under $4 not including tax, so my original payment of 4.99 should have been plenty to cover that. They are kind of important features in an app like this after all. So what exactly did my 4.99 pay for? **Developer response:** Correction: you can save/export ANY and ALL content from any project at any time from OSnap! with no limitations, and this holds true even for the completely FREE version of the app. The $1.99 ‘Export+’ add-on enables highly specialized functionality like transferring pics/videos over a Wifi network. In fact, each of the in-app purchase add-ons mentioned unlock specialized functionality that is peripheral to the core feature set of OSnap! That core feature set, which contains a collection of features too massive to enumerate here, is what you get for $4.99. We really do our very best to provide as much functionality and value as we can with OSnap!, and most of our users enthusiastically agree.
