อนุสาร อ.ส.ท. เป็นนิตยสารท่องเที่ยวที่เกิดขึ้นพร้อมกับองค์การส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (อ.ส.ท.) (ปัจจุบันเป็น การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย) ก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี พ.ศ. 2503 โดยมีพลโท เฉลิมชัย จารุวัสตร์ ดำรงตำแหน่งเป็นผู้อำนวยการคนแรก โดยนำคำว่าอนุสารอันหมายถึงสารฉบับเล็ก ๆ มาประกอบกับอักษรย่อของหน่วยงานคือ อ.ส.ท. เป็นชื่อนิตยสารอนุสาร อ.ส.ท. ออกวางตลาดฉบับแรกในเดือนสิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2503 มียอดพิมพ์ครั้งแรก 50,000 ฉบับ เนื้อหาของนิตยสารนำเสนอเรื่องราวของแหล่งท่องเที่ยวในประเทศไทยทั้งในด้านธรรมชาติ ประวัติศาสตร์ โบราณคดี ศิลปวัฒนธรรมประเพณี วิถีชีวิต และแม้ว่าองค์การส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย ได้รับการยกฐานะขึ้นเป็นการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) ในปี พ.ศ. 2522 อนุสาร อ.ส.ท. ก็ยังคงใช้ชื่อเดิมมาจนกระทั่งถึงปัจจุบัน โดยมียอดพิมพ์สูงถึง 100,000 ฉบับต่อเดือน ถือเป็นนิตยสารท่องเที่ยวรายเดือนที่เก่าแก่ที่สุด และมียอดจำหน่ายสูงสุดของประเทศไทย
