Not great ### 3/5 — Choosing charger *2025-06-16* When using the App, the map locator sits right on top of the charger pin so it’s difficult to activate the charger list to choose from. It should auto-populate the list based on your location. Why tell it where you are when the map in the app knows already? It tool 10 mins to figure this out, phone reboots, connectivity config changes etc. **Developer response:** Hi there, thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. When are all these public charger companies going to get real and start charging a fair price 79p/kWh on average in the UK and around 25p/kWh in Europe. Truly rip-off Britain ! ### 1/5 — Can’t sign in - unusable *2022-04-18, version 1.72* Really poor app compared to other charging apps. Constantly flicks between sign in and log in so can’t use this at all. Pretty poor Osprey ### 1/5 — Unable to login *2022-04-04, version 1.72* This app was easy, but since an update I’m unable to login using the app! So it’s useless and that’s why it gets 1 star, would give 0 stars if possible ### 3/5 — Really not the best *2022-01-30* Compared to some other company apps this is not the greatest. The interface is pretty bare, lacks information and is slow to interact with the chargers. Like others it’s lacking any way of monitoring your charging speed and curve. Why do developers do this. We need to be able to monitor charging speed to make the best decision when to stop the charge. As this affected by various parameters, such as battery temp, initial battery temp and charge level, it needs to be live. The interface needs a complete rework to increase map detail and the size of everything. It’s dangerous to look at while driving because everything is so small. I can’t sign in at all. This happens regularly. I tried for ages to set the account up then I reached out and it seemed to work. Now hit the sign in button and nothing. I’ve reset the app password and deleted/reinstalled. Too random to trust on a journey. When the app updates it loses my login info and if I select my charger it asks for a payment method. Those silly egg games don’t help when you’re in a rush, just switch them off. ### 1/5 — Useless and expensive *2025-08-14, version 2.4.3* Plug and play - no, multiple attempts never connects have to move to another charge pay through the nose. Ospray clearly haven't done any local research. Fools ### 1/5 — Rubbish charging in all respect *2024-06-04* I tried using the Osprey charger and failed to be able to connect my vehicle despite repeated phone calls and attempts to follow the instructions on the machine . The machine kept asking me to retry and took four payments of £25 on my credit card. I did not get to use any electricity at all! He did not charge my car. I am now trying to contact them to get my money back. ### 1/5 — Payment issues *2023-04-26* Another EV app which has issues loading payment methods. Useless, why can’t you just pay with a card like you would petrol? **Developer response:** Hi there, using the Osprey app to pay is not mandatory and is an option for those who prefer it. We accept contactless bank card on all of our chargers and always will. Thank you, Team Osprey ### 1/5 — Awful *2023-03-10* Spent nearly an hour in -2 C snowy weather trying to get this app to work. Firstly adding a payment method would not work (on the 8th go with the same card it finally gave the option for Apple Pay) then after all none of the 4 free charging stations would work, including after calling the operator and despite the live information saying all were in perfect working order. I had my disabled mother in the car with me and had to call RAC breakdown. Don’t think I’ll be using your charge points again. The site I was at was in gosport Starbucks.
