### 3/5 — Okay for setting up tv antenna

*2025-08-09*

Good app but the channel numbers are wrong and app hasn’t been updated since 2014 please update

### 3/5 — Pretty good

*2012-07-29*

So far for two bucks it is a pretty good program. If the developers are open to suggestions it would be to add a search be coordinates or at least zip code. That way you could determine the likelihood of being able find a station before reaching the destination. Also giving the station number would really help a lot. Unless that's the number inside the little tv graphic? But overall so far it has helped.

### 4/5 — Room for improvement

*2011-09-21*

Good app. Lot of good info relating to the channels that you're able go get in your viewing area. My only wish is that they'd take all the duplicated channels out of the listing that downloads for the immediate location. No need in showing the same channel 5 to 10 different times. Only show the most recent channel info.......please!

### 4/5 — Worked great for me

*2011-09-18*

It's really nice to be able to have this data with me. It helps when I try to explain ota to people who have never heard of it. Also it gave me motivation to switch from a set top antenna which just wasn't picking things up even though I live downtown.

### 4/5 — It's ok

*2011-09-08*

It's ok. I like the fact that it tells you the compass heading to the channels you are trying to find in relation to your current position, but you have to minimize the program and open your compass on the iPhone to find where to point your antenna. It would have been nice if it would be built in to the program. Keep in mind that the itouch does not have a compass or gps so this program can be limited for those devices, also you Maybe off a few degrees since the compass on the iPhone may pick up interference from metal or concrete in a room but I can't blame the program for that. I can see it being useful when traveling when trying to get local networks out of town

### 2/5 — Needs Work

*2011-08-29*

Needs to be able to manually add location via long and lat coordinates.
Great idea but ...

### 4/5 — Did what I needed it to

*2011-08-20*

Helped me aim my antenna
Lots of potential in this app, keep up the good work!

### 3/5 — Not as good as I thought it would be

*2011-08-07*

This app is not worth buying as most of the time it does not get any data or just crashes. www tvfool com is a free website with almost perfect data. This app needs lots of work and is not worth any money at this time. I will still give 3 stars for trying.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Better info for free

*2020-07-15*

You are far better off with more pertinent and accurate data at certain websites for free (ie tvfool)

This app excluded terrain making a nearby tower completely obstructed by a mountain look good. The fact is…you are far better off experimenting at ground level than even the best available advice at any price.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t show digital stations

*2018-08-10*

US has had digital only for a long time. This app doesn’t display any digital stations. Not good.

### 1/5 — NOT FOR EDMONTON ALBERTA

*2017-02-18*

Do not buy if you live in Edmonton, AB. Does absolutely nothing. Save your cash.

### 1/5 — No help in Edmonton.

*2015-03-07*

Useless for me. Says there are no stations near me.

### 1/5 — Needs work

*2013-08-08*

Need to be able to manually enter your location. Crashes if it can't find your location automatically. $2 down the tubes at this point.

### 1/5 — Over the air crap!

*2013-03-22*

This is awful! It will not open! No stars!

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2013-01-05*

Don't bother with this. Doesn't work.

### 1/5 — Ugh save your money

*2012-04-19*

Will not even open. Error message can't find location. Can't even put in location manually. How can I get my money back??

### 1/5 — Wish I could give ZERO STARS

*2011-12-06*

doesn't tell you which channel it is in the description just the call letters. It doesn't give you accurate channels. I get channels that are not listed in the app. Local channels don't show (2-13). My $2 is gone with nothing in return.

### 2/5 — Needs update on translator callsigns

*2019-12-06*

Your information is old translator callsings. The design and layout of the app is nice. Most of the callsigns are before the FCC TV Repack.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Greatest Utility App

*2018-06-01*

This is a must have app to finding free over the air channels. I got it for my motorhome and it is far better than I anticipated. Love it!!!

### 5/5 — Works

*2017-07-24*

This is amazing. Thank you so much for making this. Way better than I expected. Love that it has so many features and information.

### 5/5 — Great App !!

*2016-07-08*

A rarity these days: a properly implemented single function app with a clean user interface and fast input response. Helped me re-aim my antenna for optimum reception. And yes - I'm in Edmonton (turn on "Include Industry Canada Data" in Settings).

### 5/5 — Simple, Detailed and Great

*2014-10-19*

I watch all my TV over the air. This is an easy to use app that shows me where my channels are coming from. It gives me info on the channels, detailed maps etc. I can also plug in family or friends addresses to see what channels they can get.
Very impressed. Love this App. Well done.

### 5/5 — Bravo!

*2014-08-30*

Voici un outil formidable pour repérer les stations OTA de sa région. Très pratique pour orienter l'antenne TV afin d'optimiser le signal. Donne également beaucoup d'informations sur chacune des stations.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2014-08-14*

App does exactly as it's supposed. A little pricy there are not many other apps like this so I didn't mind paying. Useful for installers and residential antenna setup. Compass points directly where the tower is located. Also shows magnetic and true north bearing for antenna based on your location. I used the app to aim 8 bay HD Channel Master antenna in Toronto. I ended up getting 25 channels due to obstructions by trees then installed Channel Master Booster and now I am happily streaming 29 channels. I would definitely recommend it to anybody installing an antenna for quick and easy aiming.

### 5/5 — It works

*2011-11-24, version 1.0*

4s 5.0.1

The FCC city info is sometimes incorrect. That's not the app's fault. It knows where you are but a snafu pops up sometimes. When you tell it to point to the tower, the starting pin sometimes isn't where you are. Closing the program then starting again usually fixes that. That snafu isn't important enough to hurt the normal operation of the app. I don't remember the app locking or crashing so far in the couple of days I've had it. Other than those kinda insignificant things, I don't have any complaints, nor do I feel like I was ripped off. Like most iOS apps, I wish there was a limited free or trial version to make sure it works and is what I am looking for in an app.

### 5/5 — Does not work in Edmonton

*2011-09-18*

Contacted OTA dev and still does not work in Edmonton AB.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2011-06-17*

This app is awesome for the work I do, especially with these finicky new digital broadcast signals. I'm realizing other uses as well. Almost better that a GPS on a small local scale. Easy to use, too. nicely done!

### 4/5 — Great app

*2015-11-13*

Super helpful in figuring out where to point the antenna.

 Suggestion
I would like to be able to configure the view to show the virtual station id since thats what the users actually see.
