## What is Otka Health Export?

Otka Health Export is a private, on-device utility for exporting your Apple Health data.

Choose a range of up to 3,650 days and export your Health data to a structured JSON file. The export can include
health samples, workouts, GPS routes, workout intervals, heart-rate zones, sleep sessions, oxygen summaries,
respiratory information, and fitness summaries when that data is available.

The app makes no network requests. Your Health data is read and processed entirely on your device, then written
only to a Files location you control. Nothing is uploaded by the app, and no account is required. There is no tracking, analytics, advertising, or data collection.

You can save exports to the app's Documents folder or choose another Files folder. Optional settings let you add a
timestamp to filenames, compress exports as JSON.GZ files, include raw workout series, and configure custom heart-rate zones.

Otka Health Export also provides a Shortcuts action named "Export Health Data". You can use it in personal
automations to create scheduled exports without opening the app. Health access must first be authorized inside the app.

Exports use a structured, versioned JSON document containing health samples, workouts, and optional summaries.
Files remain under your control and can be opened, archived, analyzed, or shared using tools and Shortcuts actions you choose.

No account. No backend. No tracking. Your Health data stays under your control.

### 1.5 — 2026-08-10

- Faster, memory-efficient exports for large Health histories, including ranges up to 10 years.
- More reliable Shortcuts exports with safer file delivery and automatic fallback when a selected folder is unavailable.
- More accurate workout data, including segmented GPS routes, clearer pause status, cadence ranges, and improved heart-rate zone coverage.
- Improved oxygen summaries, date-range validation, and export warnings.

### 1.4 — 2026-06-08

- New "Compress export file" option: save your export as a smaller .json.gz (about 90% smaller), readable by gunzip or any archive tool.
  - Faster, more reliable exports: the export now reuses fetched data instead of re-querying and finishes in about a second.
  - More complete workout metrics for multisport sessions (brick, triathlon, HIIT) that include running or cycling segments.

### 1.3 — 2026-06-05

Version 1.3 makes the export far more complete and the app simpler to use.

  • Redesigned home screen — one tap to Export now, with all options tucked
    into Settings (gear icon).
  • Much richer workouts — GPS route, laps and kilometer splits, heart-rate
    zones, training load, post-workout heart-rate recovery, and cycling
    power/cadence/speed (when your bike sensors record them).
  • Broader Health coverage — many more metric types are exported when you
    have the data.
  • Optional custom heart-rate zones and raw per-sample workout series.
  • Optional timestamp in the file name so repeated same-day exports no longer
    overwrite each other.
  • Each export now includes a schema version for safe long-term tracking.
  • Faster, more reliable scheduled/background exports — including graceful
    handling of a workout that just finished and hasn't fully synced yet.
