Even with a subscription, it still shows ads. The ads appear in the middle of the screen, making it difficult to read the text. Additionally, the main page only uses half of the available space, leaving the other half blank. The EPaper app itself is great, and the web portal is also excellent. The new version is nothing but a poorly disguised money grab. I guess they figure if social media is not allowed to publish Canadian news then this is the perfect opportunity to start charging. But tapping on any article displays “This content is available to subscribers only”. Calling Postmedia customer service is a waste of time. They told me to delete the app and download it again, which made no difference. Today I updated to the latest version of the app. Same thing. This new update only lets me view content if I’m a paid subscriber. No thanks, deleting app as it’s now absolutely useless.
