## What is Ottoman Letters?

Learn to read Ottoman Turkish letters, a few at a time.

For six centuries Turkish was written in the Arabic script. Learn Ottoman Letters teaches that alphabet in short lessons of a few minutes each. You hear every letter, see it in a word still used today (kitap, kalem, saat), then practise until it sticks.

WHAT YOU LEARN
• All 33 letters, with their names and sounds, including پ چ ژ گ ڭ
• The shapes each letter takes at the start, middle and end of a word
• Letters that look alike, side by side
• Letters that sound the same in Turkish, such as ث س ص and ذ ز ض ظ

HOW IT WORKS
• Short lessons where you learn by doing, with instant feedback
• Clear pronunciation for every name, sound and example word
• Stars for each lesson and a daily streak to keep you going
• Explanations in Turkish, Arabic, English, Urdu, Malay, Indonesian, Bosnian and Azerbaijani
