Where it needs work? I've been in several battles, but still haven't received any loot. Also, a prime example, monster name Gnomes type: Giant. Seriously? I tend to have the opposite ### 5/5 — Excellence. *2011-05-04, version 1.2* I am an avid fan of old-school games such as this, so I certainly enjoy Oubliette. I never played the original, but it certainly reminds me of Wizardry and the Bard's Tale games. The difficulty of this port has been toned down, but there is plenty of challenge to be had.. I personally have spent hundreds of hours fighting my way through and I'm still having fun playing.. which is the whole point, no? ^^ ### 5/5 — Awesome *2011-04-25, version 1.2* I'm an old-schooler, and I literally dreamed of playing this game in the palm of my hand 30 years ago. Of course it's a different interface on the IPAD which takes time to learn, but it's great fun. ### 5/5 — Delighted by this old school game *2011-03-06, version 1.2* This is an incredible! port of the old game Oubliette for the pc from years ago. Playing this on my Iphone when i have some down time is just fantastic. The graphics and music set the atmosphere well The inclusion of the guilds/peasants, etc. is just delightful. Few other RPGS are so demanding. It's along the lines of bards tale, wizardry, and the like but even more difficult. The character generation and dungeon difficulty is perfect. The rationed save method works well to keep players thoughtfully saving and crawling carefully. Inventory control is reasonable; i wish i could sell objects back to the store for cash but i believe that's coming soon. The developer has been responsive about features discussion and bugs, which is also nice ### 4/5 — Love it but it could use a bit of work *2011-02-13, version 1.2* I played the game and loved it but I suggest in one of the next updates you work toward giving fighters skills to use and give them an element to support such as a flame warrior who can use a fire slash type of thing, allow priests to use their heal abilities in battle as well, and to allow users to sell items (big deal in my opinion) because items building up in inventories gets VERY annoying, but other than that it is a great game that I would recommend to any fantasy d&d fan, keep up the good work! :D ### 4/5 — So much fun! *2011-01-02, version 1.2* This old school dungeon crawler has gotten such a great facelift since the old days, I'm having a blast! The interface is very slick and fast to manoeuver, which is a blessing, yes! I'm very happy with the graphics as well, both at the castle and the dungeon level. Think of it this way, it all used to be in text and 3D wireframe dungeons in the old days. The sounds and music are satisfying, much better than no sound! My thanks to GabySoft for this tremendous effort. I'm now off to tons of hours of fun! Snafaru ### 5/5 — Old School *2010-11-06, version 0* This game is great for those of you looking to experience the golden age of Dungeons and Dragons. Absolutely accurate porting of a 1977 vintage game. It's really like stepping back in time. I love being able to create the perfect party if up to 10 characters from 8 races and 10 classes each with different benefits and limitations. This is really The grandaddy of Diablo and World of Warcraft. It might not be for everyone but it's a free download so try it out and step back in time! ### 5/5 — Best dungeon game I've ever played *2010-10-06, version 0* This game is the best dungeon game I've ever played. Well it's about the only one I've ever played but it is a lot of fun. To have the fun you have to stick with it so you can learn it. Oh, yea cheak out my ranger, Halt, in the hall of fame. I just don't feel like the UI is easy to use. Maybe this just isn't the game for me. ### 1/5 — Sexist *2011-09-19, version 1.2* Why are all the stats i get for females lower than those for the males? If the picture was random than i would have gotten a high stat female by now. I could sue for this kind of sexist crap ### 2/5 — Has potential but too many boot out bugs *2015-05-28, version 2.3* Potential exists - game crashes way too often - I get the vague mapping concept but does it add or detract to playability? I say it detracts. No discernible way for party members to swap gear in dungeon? Truly silly, whoever opens chest gets the gear inside and can not give to a fellow player who could use it for benefit of party? ( can exchange gear once dungeon exited is a small cancellation)- would have given 1 star but it has potential ### 2/5 — Pass *2010-10-20, version 0* This game would have been awesome in the 80's, but it's a poor choice these days. Super-lame graphics, poor interface, and they want you to pay for dungeon levels? What a croc. Looks like a ported commodore 64 game. Like on email and Skype ### 3/5 — Suspect dlc content auth *2010-09-25, version 0* This is a very good game, but I spent money on the dlc to access all 10 floors only to be denied access after the first three. 2.99 down the drain, the price of doing business online. I doubt this was a fault of the dev (and I'm glad shareware is coming back in demos, lites, and apps like this one, but apple really needs to upgrade their transaction system. ### 3/5 — Not that free *2010-08-30* The game is quite good BUT in order to save you have to use tokens 10 of which are supplied after that you have to buy tokens (in app purchase). Started playing the original computer version of it back in the early 80s when I was a little kid. The temporal gems are a great way to save your players status. For those you wondering you can sell items for cash in the store also when a character opens a chest the item just goes into your inventory so for instance if you have a ninja or thief open the chest and you get plate mail it goes into your inventory then if you have a hirebrand or paladin tap manage ep equipment tap the plate mail then tap equip ### 5/5 — The best *2016-06-24, version 2.3* This game rocks ### 5/5 — Wizの元ネタらしいです *2014-10-26, version 2.2* 調べたところこのゲーム(の原版)に影響を受けてWizが作られたそうです。Wizとほぼ同じ感覚でプレイ出来ますが、戦闘システムやPT構成のセオリーなどが大分異なり新鮮で面白いです。 前列は2人、ロングレンジ武器は無さそうです。その代わり豊富な魔法アイテムを撃ちまくる事で後列も攻撃に参加出来ます。攻撃手段に乏しいPriestはこの方法でレベルを稼ぐ事になるでしょう。ちなみに装備可能なアイテムでなければ使用も出来ません。また、このゲームでは全ての状態異常は即死扱いになるようです。 戦闘はリアルタイム性があり、時間あたりの行動回数がDEXの高さに比例します。そのため特に近接職はSTRよりDEXを重視した方が良いでしょう。 宿屋は一利用につき一週間経過し、しかも複数回泊まらないと全快しない事があるので寿命管理が結構シビアです。PT全員で泊まるため、馬小屋戦法をする場合は酒場で魔法職だけに編成しなおしてから泊まる事になります。本作のエルフは寿命が無いので、そういう意味でも魔法職に向いています。 本作に転職はありません。上級職を狙うにはPeasantといういわゆる無職を育成し、後から職に就く形となります。 ### 5/5 — This is the best game ever! *2013-04-10, version 2.2* I used to play this game on the Commodore 64 in the 80s! ### 5/5 — Gotta play all day! *2012-02-09, version 1.2* It's that nice old school come back to life.
