## What is Our Family Habits?

Building good habits together shouldn't feel like a chore — for you or your kids.

Our Family Habits is a calm, private iPhone and iPad app designed for the whole family. A parent sets up habits and chores in a few minutes, awards points with a single tap, and children watch their progress bloom in a quiet growing garden — no logins, no pressure, just steady encouragement.

MADE FOR REAL FAMILY LIFE

Every day is different. That's why Our Family Habits lets you schedule habits for any combination of days — every day, weekdays, weekends, or specific days you choose — with optional Morning, Afternoon, and Evening tags. The Home screen shows each child's Today routine at a glance, grouped by time of day, so nothing gets overlooked and everything feels manageable.

A LIVING GARDEN, NOT A SCOREBOARD

Every habit your child tends is a real plant in their own little plot. Do the habit and the plant visibly grows; keep it up three days in a row and it blooms. A quiet week? The garden simply rests — nothing ever wilts, dies, or guilt-trips. Children watch their gardens on the family kiosk and tap a plant to say “I did this” — a grown-up confirms, and the plant drinks it up. Long-term growth stages (Seedling, Sprout, Garden) unfold over months, at the pace habits actually take root.

REWARDS THEY ACTUALLY WANT

Children save their points toward rewards you create — extra screen time, a favourite treat, a special outing. An optional approval queue means kids can request a reward and a parent approves it, giving you a natural moment of connection. No virtual currency, no marketplace — just the things your family already values.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Your family's data stays in your family's hands. Everything syncs across your devices through your own private iCloud account — there are no ads, no trackers, and nothing sold to anyone. Children never need to log in or create an account. A PIN and Face ID protected Kiosk mode lets a child use the app safely while your parent settings stay completely private.

FREE TO START, WITH AN OPTIONAL BOOST

The core of Our Family Habits is free forever — everything you need to build a real routine with one child. Power-ups is an optional subscription that unlocks unlimited habits and rewards for the whole family, weighted points by age, streak multipliers, limits and cooldowns, insights, extra Kiosk themes, and more. Try Power-ups free for 7 days, cancel any time.

No hype. No pressure. Just a quiet corner of your phone where good things grow, one tap at a time.

Download Our Family Habits today and see how calm a family routine can feel.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.3 — 2026-07-23

Small things, done with more care.

- The app now opens in its light, garden look by default. Prefer dark? It's still a tap away in Settings - Appearance.
- Empty screens no longer feel like dead ends. The kiosk greets a new family with "A fresh plot" instead of an empty space, and every list in Settings now tells you what it's for and offers one clear next step.
- The growth stages got their proper icons - a leaf, then a fuller leaf, then a tree.
- Selected things now look selected, not just tinted - easier to read across a kitchen and kinder to colour-blind eyes.
- Naming your family is optional now. You can skip straight to the part that matters.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-07-22

A craft pass — the same garden, tended more carefully.

- Awarding a point is instant now. Saving happens after the animation, not in the middle of it.
- Haptics on the moments that were silent: a plant blooming, a new growth stage, a reward approved.
- Points roll over instead of snapping.
- The kiosk is lighter on battery — it no longer rebuilds every garden every 30 seconds.
- Kinder words. When a child has already earned something today, the app now says "Already counted today - see you tomorrow" instead of reading like an error.
- Starter packs no longer come with a "lost temper" penalty switched on. Gardens grow; they don't dock you.
- The Faith-centered pack now fits any tradition, with a weekly worship day you choose yourself.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-07-16

Share a little more garden.

When you share your family's progress, your card now carries a Friend Pass — a free month of Power-ups for whoever you send it to. A quiet, generous way to pass the garden along.

Plus small refinements under the hood.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-07-15

New: Your Family's Month in the Garden.

At the start of each month, a gentle recap looks back on the one before - led by a family "archetype" instead of a scoreboard. Were you The Weekend Gardeners? The Early Risers? The Steady Tenders? A quiet month simply becomes The Resting Garden - rest is part of growing, too.

- A once-a-month look back, computed entirely on your device.
- Little moments worth remembering, never a grade or a streak to defend.
- A lovely, shareable card that carries your real garden - no names, no faces, nothing private leaves your family.

Plus small refinements to the living garden throughout.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-14

The garden grew up. Every plant has been redrawn by hand for this update:

- Growth you can see: new leaves unfurl at watering milestones, a bud forms as a habit matures, and the flower opens while the streak is alive.
- Five true species: golden sunflowers, tulips with long basal blades, daisies, unfurling ferns, and bellflowers that hang like tiny lanterns.
- Living details: tapered stems, leaf veins, soft shadows, a gentle sway on the kiosk, and gardens that spring up out of the soil when you visit.
- Resting plants now droop softly and perk back up with the next watering - never a failure state.

Nothing about your family's routine or data changes. The garden is just more alive.
