### 5/5 — Amazing

*2021-04-04, version 1.2.6*

Wonderful app that provides a perspective that is totally different than “looking out” from our small perch on the earth. Go ahead and jump all the way out of the Milky Way and look back for a change. Wow!
It is beyond my understanding how anyone can calculate the position of what we see as unmoving points and smudges of light in the night sky. But here it is. The detail is highest closest to the Sun, demonstrating limits to our vision, but we also see galaxies individually and as groups far away. The app is new to me and I am totally blown away.

### 5/5 — Wow

*2020-11-05, version 1.2.3*

This app is worth getting an ipad for if you are interested in space

### 5/5 — Unbelievably Cool!!!

*2020-07-15, version 1.2.0*

Fantastic App. Amazing fun zooming around the galaxy and beyond. Really great to get some sense of the scale of the cosmos!

### 5/5 — Sweet App!

*2020-04-30, version 1.1.2*

This app is freaking sweet!!!

I love it!

After years and years of observing all these objects it’s great to be able to see their actual location relative to us. Gives a whole new perspective to the the size of our universe.

Download this app, you will not regret it!

### 5/5 — 3D Galaxy

*2020-03-29, version 1.1*

Love it! Once you take the time to read the instructions it becomes quite intuitive.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2020-03-24, version 1.1*

$3 worth of amusement the first time I launched this app. Awesome.

### 5/5 — Great teaching tool

*2020-03-24, version 1.1*

This is a great app for learning how things look in Outerspace. I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — An Extra Dimension to the Sky

*2020-03-17, version 1.0.1*

Not a planetarium program which just places objects on a sphere around the Earth, this app lets you gain a sense of how far away objects are from us. Amazing to see all the galaxies in our local group - many quite close. Messier objects vary tremendously in relative distance. This is not for sky maps, but rather provides a sense of wonder and amazement about the universe. Time flies as you explore the Milky Way and this app’s mind-blowing capabilities. A wonderful complement to your favorite “sky-mapping” app.

### 5/5 — Amazing Spatial Relationship Tool

*2020-03-14, version 1.0.1*

A very detailed and entertaining app, showing the shape of our galaxy and the relationship of objects within and beyond and how it all fits together.

### 5/5 — Super companion to Sky Safari

*2020-03-13, version 1.0.1*

I’ve been imaging nebulae for just a few years and always am on the prowl for helpful tools. While SKY SAFARI has become an indispensable companion in my observatory, OUR GALAXY provides a whole new level of perspective for understanding where deep space objects reside relative to the Earth. The best feature for me is the ability to jog between it and SKY SAFARI; find an object, go to SKY SAFARI and learn more; then jump to ASTROBIN to see what other imagers have captured. A true trifecta!

### 5/5 — Excellent for education and curiosity

*2020-03-13, version 1.0.1*

Our Galaxy is especially appropriate for star parties allowing sky viewers to place objects and us in a large context of the galaxy. This is mind altering.

### 5/5 — Fascinating learning tool

*2020-03-01, version 1.0*

The three dimensional rendering of the galaxy is amazing. This is a fantastic tool for teaching and learning where we live in the Milky Way Galaxy.
Our Galaxy is a superb companion to any planetarium application.

### 5/5 — Just what I’ve been looking for

*2020-02-29, version 1.0*

Want to know where we are and how we fit in to all you can see? Then this is for you. I’m attracted to astronomy by wanting to get my bearings down on how I fit in the universe. This gives me a 3 d picture of all the observable objects in the galaxy. Just what I’ve been looking for.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not good, really does nothing

*2024-05-20, version 2.1.0*

Shows the rings and rocks or something you can zoom in zoom out wopwop
And there are not many reviews look for your self

### 1/5 — Trash, completely garbage

*2024-01-19, version 2.1.0*

Can barely even explore any objects, and can’t see 3D models. Not good, trash 💀💀💀

### 2/5 — Not bad, but I do not like it

*2025-10-12, version 2.1.0*

Not really good

### 2/5 — Yeah, I totally think, Everything is NaN

*2025-03-29, version 2.1.0*

Please put a limit to how far out you can go. It’s literally, out of range. And NaN is Not a Number. Do not go too high

### 3/5 — Had to turn phone off to get out of app iP12mini

*2024-03-22, version 2.1.0*

As per title.

### 4/5 — Idk

*2024-01-14, version 2.1.0*

Idk is just a good game but can you add black holes pls

### 4/5 — Data Bug

*2020-08-02, version 1.2.0*

Four stars listed and located about 1 lys from Earth ???

### 5/5 — exactly what I've been looking for!

*2024-04-09, version 2.1.0*

We try to find and observe these objects in the telescope but I've never easily found a site that shows their position in Our Galaxy. There is one from NASA I believe but strangely they don't show the position of our Sun in the galaxy, a critical omission.

Lots of options and information to play with, this is just a superb app!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2023-11-18, version 2.1.0*

It gives you so much knowledge, and it’s super fun!!!

### 5/5 — This is where you are in the galaxy

*2022-09-24, version 2.1.0*

Such a perfectly needed and simple application, tells you exactly where you are in the universe. What more could you want?

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Really great app for exploring the Galaxy

*2022-08-06, version 2.1.0*

Navigation is a little clunky, but the detail is amazing!

### 5/5 — Epic

*2022-07-30, version 2.1.0*

I like it. It helps to see the big picture of our galaxy and beyond. Very good. Maybe small improvements could be made.

### 5/5 — Our Galaxy is the next best thing to the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.

*2022-07-07, version 2.1.0*

I’ve been using this quite a lot over the last month I’ve bought it. It fills a void I’ve always wondered about of where IS that star, cluster, nebula, galaxy?

It’s really amazing to see many bodies observed and during or afterward, put them all in context to the neighbourhood. The 3d aspect of the program takes the cake for learning these things and it’s quite easy-peasy to learn to use.

Connects a selected target right to opening Skysafari in iOS too.

Great job on this little gem!

### 5/5 — Eye opening

*2021-09-29, version 2.1.0*

Others have said enough. This is an educational mindfulness spinner toy. UI is superb, help files are extensive. Everyone should own this.

### 5/5 — I like it

*2021-09-09, version 2.1.0*

Nice app that shows stuff in perspective. I wish it had an option to switch to Night Sky view tied to geo coordinates like other stargazing apps for star hoping and DSOs search during observation sessions. Then it would be all in one. Otherwise, I have to jump between different apps.

### 5/5 — Informative

*2021-07-05, version 2.0.6*

Fantastic app. Seeing our solar system in relation to our galaxy and the deep space objects puts a whole new perspective on astronomy. Well done!!!

### 5/5 — We Need Good Astronomy Apps

*2021-05-19, version 2.0.5*

This one delivers and it's free! You can use this app to get a good representation of our galaxy's size and structure. It's a good visual aid and accurate modelling.
