What's New in Ousa

2.3.0

September 18, 2026

New in this version: A tutor who travels can now name every district they teach in, not just one. Parents searching a district find them there, where before only one of the districts they actually work counted. Photos and certificates picked on a phone now reach the profile. They never did before — the upload failed on the device itself, silently, so nothing ever arrived. The wording across the app has been rewritten in plain language, on every screen. Ousa is rebuilt from the ground up. If you used the earlier version of this app — the directory that went dark — that version and its data are gone, and everything below is new, not incremental. What else changed: Search starts with subject and grade, and returns a ranked list of tutors, not a set of filters that comes up empty on a small directory. Verified credentials now show as their own section on every listing, separate from the tutor's bio. A credential appears there only once an Ousa admin has seen the degree or certificate, or confirmed the post with the school, in person. A tutor's phone number and Telegram handle stay hidden until you tap "Show contact." You can save tutors to a list, and see a separate list of tutors you've actually contacted. Tutors an admin set up on your behalf can now claim that profile and take over editing it themselves, including their own photo and certificates, straight from the phone. Signing in is a one-time code to your phone, or Telegram, Apple or Google. There are no passwords. If you already have an account, you can connect Telegram, Apple or Google to it from the account screen, and sign in that way from then on. The account screen says which account you are signed in to, by the phone number that opens it. Reviews can only be written for a tutor whose contact you've actually revealed. Notifications tell you when a tutor joins for a subject you searched and found nothing for, and, if you're a tutor, when a verification lands on one of your credentials. There is a help page in every language the app speaks, in the app and on the website, answering the things people actually write in about — and a form on it for writing to us, which needs no Telegram account and no way of signing in. You can delete your account from the account screen. It removes your account, the tutors you saved and anything you wrote, straight away. If you teach, your listings come down with it. It asks first, as signing out and deleting a listing now do. Every screen is written in Khmer, English and French, and you can switch between them from the settings tab. The whole app has a new visual design.
