### 5/5 — Für mich immer noch nicht die Beste!

Ich nutze dieses App seit mindestens 10 Jahren zur Planung von Wanderungen (zusätzlich zum Komoot) und bin immer noch begeistert. Auch im fernen Ausland findet man die Wanderwege. Ich finde die Navigation während der Wanderung nicht so nervend wie Komoot, auch wenn ich Komoot auch gut finde für Wandervorschläge. Aber meistens übertrage ich die Touren von Komoot händisch auf Ape Map, weil sie einfach besser zu lesen sind, auch Alternativ Routen, wenn ich möchte. Und sie verbraucht auch viel weniger Batterie als Komoot. Und jeder kleinste Waldweg ist drauf!

Ape@map ist die beste mobile Karten App.
Was mir noch fehlt, eine Heatmap Funktion wie bei Strava oder Garmin. Manchmal kommt man mit einer Heatmap weiter als einer Karte als Bild, da die Heatmap mir anzeigt, wie viele auf dem Weg vorher gewandert sind.

Nutze seit Jahren die App, das Kartenmaterial finde ich hier am Besten. Sehr viele Infos auf der Karte, wie welcher Berg, Weg usw. heißt. 
Zwischenzeitlich habe ich auch andere versuchsweise probiert, aber keine andere App hat so gute Karten. 
Die App ist auch nicht teuer, ich habe 37 € für die Lizenz bezahlt und dafür 3 Jahre die Karten von Deutschland, Norditalien und Österreich zur Verfügung. 
Andere Apps haben inzwischen nur noch Abo Modelle ab 60 € im Jahr aufwärts.
Ich nutze die Karten auch offline, indem ich dann einfach einen großen Bereich herunterlade. Funktioniert sehr gut.
Was noch fehlt, ist dass man vorher Touren planen kann. Also auf der Karte Start und Ziel markiert und dazu noch Wegpunkte, wo es lang gehen soll. 
Da behelfe ich mir mit einer anderen App.

Die Falk Wanderkarte ist einfach an vielen Punkten viel informativer. Namen von Hütten oder Orten, die auf den Wanderschildern stehen sind immer auch in dieser Wanderkarte. 
Alle Funktionen der App sind sinnvoll und vollständig.

Konnte bereits mehrere Kompass Digital Karten ohne Probleme übertragen. Auch das Übertragen von Tracks funktioniert tadellos. Die Funktionen, Bedienung  und Darstellung sind ohne Kritik. Dank des IPhones ist die GPS Ortung in einer Sekunde vorhanden. Fazit:  da können reine GPS Geräte z.B. fürs Biken nicht mithalten, alles andere als  5 Sterne sind für mich nicht nachvollziehbar.

### 2/5 — Tolle App, Lizenzmodell aus den 80ern

Eigentlich ist Ape@Map eine wunderbare App, offensichtlich auch mit viel Zeit und Hingabe entwickelt. Das Lizenzmodell ist jedoch doch eine Katastrophe - zumindest für die Nutzer, die von Zeit zu Zeit ihr Mobiltelefon wechseln. Ich möchte dem Entwickler hier in keiner Weise die Monetarisierung absprechen. Gut entwickelte Software soll auch entsprechend vergütet werden! 
Allerdings: Lizenzen die man schon mal erworben hat erneut zu kaufen, ist machbar, wenngleich ein Konsum ohne Lustgewinn. Viel schlimmer wiegt jedoch, in meinem Nutzungsszenario, dass die App aufgrund irgendwelcher Lizenzverwirrungen selten funktioniert wenn sie ich mal wirklich brauche.
Das geht deutlich kundenfreundlicher!

### 5/5 — immer noch die beste Tracking App für Wandern, Joggen und Radfahren

Benutze diese App seit über 8 Jahren. Im Laufe dieser Zeit sind viele Outdoor-Apps auf den Markt gekommen, die ich mir immer wieder mal angeschaut habe.
Mein Fazit: Das Kartenmaterial bei ape@map insbesondere für Wanderungen und Radtouren in  Deutschland, Österreich und Norditalien (Kompass Karten für die man als Printversion ne Menge Geld hinlegt) ist mit Abstand das beste. Die Bedienung ist nicht immer gleich intuitiv und das zeichnen/editieren zur Planung von Tracks könnte einfacher gehen: deshalb habe ich auch diesen Sommer nochmal andere Apps getestet (Maps 3D, Outdooractive und Komoot) obgleich sie zum Teil gute Ansätze haben hat keine davon mich im Vergleich zu ape@map zufriedengestellt - so dass ich auch in Zukunft für meine Outdooraktivitäten weiterhin bei ape@map bleiben werde. Überzeugt hat mich vor allem auch der schnelle Support der Entwickler von ape@map bei Fragen oder Verbesserungsvorschlägen. Man bekommt schnelle Antworten und vor allem Lösungen! Wenn jetzt noch bei der Tourenplanung Wegpunkte automatisch verbunden würden oder man ganze Abschnitte auf einmal rauslöschen könnte, würde ich 7 Punkte geben. ;-)

Sehr praktisch und genau. Man muss sich etwas an die Bedienung gewöhnen, aber gerade auch die Aufzeichnung von Tracks ist sehr gut.  Und es funktioniert offline!!!
