### 5/5 — The Original Open Water Swimming Magazine

*2012-11-02*

WIth the boom of open water swimming globally, it makes sense to have a dedicated magazine and H2Open doesn't dissapoint! The magazine caters for all levels of ability and manages to walk the fine line between too in depth for novices and too simple for experienced swimmers. Not only is it a good read and very informative across a vast range of subjects, but because the magazine was set up by swimmers, they relly seem to be trying to support open water swimming in general by organising a national swimming race competition, awards event and 'H2Open Day' with lots of stands, demos and info about the world of open water swimming. I can't think of a better magazine!

### 5/5 — H2Open

*2012-11-02, version 4.1.4*

Having read the paper issues of H2Open I was delighted to discover the digital version. Previously my swimming was all pool based, but the inspirational articles and photographs have encouraged me to venture outside. This is a well put together magazine with stories of interest to swimmers and non swimmers alike. Long may you continue.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2012-11-01*

How perfect to have H2Opens app on your iPad for when you are stuck on a train and dreaming about swimming. It is simple to use and works well.

### 5/5 — Great publication. Great App.

*2012-10-31*

I get this magazine sent to my apartment, but appreciate having this digital option, too. Great app.

### 5/5 — Great for US residents

*2012-08-17*

I've been buying this magazine at US bookstores as an import at $11 per issue. An iPad subscription is an awesome option. The magazine looks fantastic on my 3rd generation.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Great mag,clueless support

*2013-05-16*

Great mag for me a budding marathon swimmer, however the latest issue suffered from a bug which the support repeatedly failed to address. They ask the same question every time and have not fixed the disappearing letters whem maximising pages. I'm now considering cancelling the subscription because of this.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2012-12-26*

Tried using this on my ipad - every single time I load it up it comes up with error messages. Very disappointed

### 1/5 — Can't make it work

*2012-09-30*

Despite loading and reloading I can't make this work. Disappointed!

### 1/5 — Warning to existing subscribers

*2012-03-20*

I'm checking with H2Open for clarification on this but it seems from the app that there's no way to use your existing digital or printed subscription for access to this and that you'd have to pay for each magazine again to read it on this.

It's a great and unique magazine but it's terrible when companies like this add things like this without considering their current consumer base. Most magazines with apps on iOS have picked up on this and now allow you to access the digital version for free if you are a subscriber which I hope this will.

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2015-01-12*

Admittedly there is no competition, but there's good stuff to read and I think it will continue to get better as more people subscribe.

### 4/5 — Great read for all abilities

*2015-01-05*

H2Open is a interesting read with plenty of interest for all open water swimmers. Unlike some sport magazines it isn't full of adverts for needless kit and nutrition!

### 5/5 — Outdoor Swimmer Magazine

*2020-01-27*

I love this magazine - full of tips, stories, technical info, gear and trip reviews, inspiration and even a bit of science and history. I love the paper version but I also like having it to hand on my phone. So if I am ever stuck somewhere having to wait, on public transport or anywhere, I can indulge in some Outdoor Swimmer reading. Like the menudo I can slip directly to what I want to read too.

### 5/5 — Great publication

So glad I don’t have to use the Pocketmags app anymore :)

### 5/5 — A great read.

H20 is a great magazine, very informative for the open water swimmer.

### 5/5 — Like having a library at my finger tips

*2015-01-20*

I love reading the magazine in its paper format and there are things I like to come back to. By having the digital format I can use it like a reference library without having to empty my wardrobe and search for the right edition or article.

The go-to mag for open water swimmers, full of useful tips and interesting features. Excellent product reviews, and a handy Events calendar, bringing together diverse open water events in one place. Recommended.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2013-09-04*

As a keen water person across multiple disciplines, h2open is up there with long running international surfing magazines in its excellent coverage of all aspects of open water, be it editorial depth, racing news, upcoming events, history of the sport or exciting holiday destinations. I now find myself contemplating cancelling my online subscriptions to surfing and paddleboard magazines in favour of h2open, it's that good! Best magazine I have read in a long time and it has the magic ingredient of all great titles, genuine 're-readability' - some issues I must have read ten times!

### 5/5 — Great mag for ow swimmers

*2013-07-29*
