Ich sehe es als eine Grundfunktion einer Wanderapp an, dass man einen Ort angibt und dann Wanderungen an dem Ort vorgeschlagen bekommt. Bei Outdooractive scheint das nicht möglich zu sein: Weder um meinen Heimatort noch bei Versuchen mit anderen Orten gelang es mir, Wanderungen zu finden. Vielleicht lag es ja daran, dass ich den Filter auf maximal 2,5 Stunden eingestellt hatte aber wenn eine App damit wirbt, Wanderungen von externen Anbietern im Paket zu haben und ich keine an dem Ort finde, wo ich wandern will (in dem Fall Lohr am Main), ich aber mit einem Konkurrenzprodukt mehrere Wanderungen angezeigt bekomme und dann vor Ort sogar mehrere ausgeschilderte Wanderwege finde, dann gebe ich dafür kein Geld aus. Glücklicherweise war ich noch in der Widerrufsfrist, einen Teil mußte ich trotzdem zahlen - für nichts. Eigentlich wollte ich weg von Komoot, es scheint aber sonst keine App zu geben, bei der man überlegen kann, wo man hinwill, Wanderungen sucht und vorgeschlagen bekommt und dann eine davon aussuchen kann. Vielleicht ist das Problem ja auf meiner Seite aber das ist das, was ich von einer Wander-App erwarte, sonst kann ich gleich auf Verdacht vor Ort nach Wanderwegen schauen. **Developer response:** Vielen Dank, dass du uns über dein Problem informierst. Stromsparmodi in Apples Trainings App) oder auch zur Ortungshäufigkeit führen zum Einfrieren oder Absturz der watch App. Die OpenStreetMap Karten enthalten oft wesentlich mehr Wege, POIs oder Hinweise zu Sperrungen als die (angeblich) angereicherten Outdooractive Karten. Die Anzeige von Bildern kleistert die Karte zu, was sie unbrauchbar macht. Pro+ enthält tatsächlich viel zu wenige kuratierte Routen und ist daher nutzlos. Mein Fazit: Tolle App mit viel Luft nach oben. Entwickler sollten Vorgaben zu den optimalen Einstellungen in Verbindung mit der Apple watch machen, anstatt einem selbst ausprobieren zu lassen. Karten brauchen dringend mehr Input zu interessanten Plätzen und die beiden wichtigsten Karten Layer OSM und Outdooractive sollten verschmelzen. Es gäbe noch unzählige Anmerkungen mehr hierzu und Outdooractive sollte eine klare Roadmap ihrer Entwicklung kommunizieren, da man ansonsten vielleicht doch lieber zu K. geht. **Developer response:** Danke für dein ausführliches Feedback. It logged an entire 4hr walk today as ‘0ft’ and couldn’t locate me on the map the whole time (I had enough signal for Google maps to work and for WhatsApp photos to send), and it crashed and froze multiple times. It sounds like other people have had similar problems recently. All I want to find routes, select one, then follow it whilst tracking myself. Each stage of this simple process is confusing, badly designed and hard to use. Used to be OK, but now the app will repeatedly not allow me to plan routes along clear public footpaths and instead plot routes that are wildly divergent - sending me on A roads in the wrong direction for example. Even switching off the functionality that allegedly follows paths doesn’t fix the problem. Absolutely useless. Basic functionality ruined. How could they be so terrible? Buy any app but this one. ### 1/5 — Worse app of its kind *2026-04-24, version 3.23.2* I have used quite a few apps for planning routes and following routes whilst hiking and mountain biking. This app has got to be the worse of the lot. It seems to suggest you get Topo maps for offline use but it seems to be hit and miss and I wonder if you can only download one at a time. It is very laggy. The UI is not at all intuitive and it is difficult to work out where the functions you want can be found. I’ve gone back to OS Maps for the UK as well as my favourite and the best app of any kind I’ve ever used which is WorkOutDoors. ### 1/5 — Has randomly started recording zero-length *2026-04-17, version 3.23.2* I had been getting on really well with Outdoor Active for some years, but lately it has started recording some tracks as zero length.
