But needs more content and levels. But actually the Game is heating my iPhone 15 up so I can’t play more than 2 runs each.. ### 3/5 — Good game, marred by odd screen layout *2026-03-20* I own the game for my PC, and enjoy it immensely for the challenges as well as the surprisingly deep upgrade system, so when I learned it was available for iOS I purchased it immediately. However, when I started it up on my iPad (pro M4) which is in landscape mode in a Magic Keyboard case, I was in for a surprise. The gameplay takes place in a small, vertical, portrait-mode strip in the center of the screen. The upgrade tree is what makes it. It keeps you thinking and planning instead of just mindlessly placing towers. It scratches that progression itch while still feeling like actual tower defense. There are no upgrades I can buy. Instead they are marked with Level Completions, Time Trials and Challenges, making them completely inaccessible. Even worse, most of the marked upgrades aren't even that good.
