We used Outmap during our snowboarding trip in Japan, and it was genuinely helpful. The heatmaps were especially useful when visibility was almost zero at the top of the mountain and we needed to quickly understand which direction to go. The 3D maps are also excellent — the terrain detail and overall map quality are really impressive. I also really liked the ability to save maps in advance. It was super convenient: I could review the resort map on the plane, quickly refresh my memory on the lift, and when we were in areas with no signal, the offline map helped us get oriented faster and find our way back to the runs. It’s almost a shame that I don’t go snowboarding more often, because the app is genuinely interesting and makes me want to use it more and more.
