I don’t have much time left on the device but hopefully this review is seen and taken into account. Every initial test is not logged. When it used to say “Submitted” and tells results. Now it says “ Non Reply” after the initial test and continues to beep every 10 minutes until I volunteer to give an additional test. Then it saves that single test. So, I have been now doing to initial test upon being prompted. I then immediately volunteer an additional test and then it saves both. It’s not the end of the world, but annoying please fix. ### 5/5 — Works perfectly fine for me, y’all just up to no good. *2023-12-19* I don’t know if it’s the way my probo set up my app, but I have a set schedule to do tests with a 2 hour window for each. I have manually set my alarm then just voluntary check in for each one for flawless timing and reporting. As for you guys with random tests shouldn’t have been a alcoholic. No different than someone shooting up under a bridge in my opinion. Just because it’s legal doesn’t make it morally higher. ### 5/5 — ATC *2023-05-19, version 4.1.2* MARCUS BERNHARDT ROCKS! ### 2/5 — Randomly decides not to notify *2023-03-18* The first two days I had this app it never notified me. I had to voluntarily check in and since I had no idea on a schedule it showed missed on p.o. end, but not mine. Got that fixed… so I thought. Next day I received notices and all was fine. Next day it stopped again. However, This time it was showing missed Or I would open my phone and have minutes to seconds left to test. There needs to scheduled tests. I’d blow into the thing 10 times a day On A Schedule rather than deal with this randomized we will notify you of a test whenever. Last night I checked the app and did not have a counter. TEN minutes later I checked it again and had 13 seconds to submit. Then it showed missed. I have Every bell, whistle, banner flashing light etc. set up on my phone and I’m barely catching tests. Please update your system or give option to just check in on a schedule. ### 3/5 — Mostly works *2022-10-01* App is easy to use and device is discrete. Recently had issue with app not allowing me to check in. Called tech support and got answering machine. This is SERIOUS and I can’t get someone on the phone to help me?! I do not have any violations but 2 missed check-ins looks REALLY bad. Since I can’t get tech support I am going to try reinstalling the app and hope this works ### 1/5 — Does not work *2022-08-20, version 4.1.0* I have evidence this app DO NOT WORK. We’re from LV the app just glitches out and doesn’t let you go back in. This app stop working the first day and first time used. This app have soo much problems!!!!! Please fix this!!! ### 1/5 — App crashing *2022-06-22, version 4.0.8* A new update came out and the app is crashing whenever I open it. Obviously a huge problem when this app is a requirement for pretrial and probation services. Hopefully I do not go to jail because of this. ### 4/5 — Easy to use with helpful IT! *2022-06-18* Odd to say because this is an app I’m required to use for my probation, but this app has been very helpful for my piece of mind. The randomization of times it asks me to breathalyze keeps me accountable, and the green dot telling me I passed every day gives me a weird sense of accomplishment. The tech guys always help out if I have an issue with the app, and the communication between the app and my PO is wonderful! Any questions I have are quickly answered, and it’s surprisingly cheap (- despite the bi-monthly payments and such)! The Smart Breath from Outreach device is phenomenal and compact, it’s so nice to be able to breathalyze anywhere and any time without having to go to my local drug testing center. Thank you, OSM! You have helped me immensely. ### 1/5 — Needs update *2022-01-12, version 4.0.7* Makes me blow twice almost every time because it doesn’t show the first mandatory reading , “syncing” loading symbol gets stuck, takes forever to refresh and crashes on me when trying to submit reading ### 1/5 — Bad. *2021-08-29, version 4.0.6* Terrible app ran by idiots. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Low light update is giving unnecessary fails *2026-05-20* Low light detection is glitching and causing issues with passing. Very inconvenient ### 1/5 — App update has glitched more than ever *2026-04-09* This app and service were working flawlessly till recent update. The low light detection could not tell the difference between a black hole and a supernova. I can be standing outside high noon under the sun and it says “ low light. Try again.” Sure. Let me jump into my spaceship and travel 93 million miles closer to the sun. And it will say “video check-in submitted successfully” only to find out 10+ hours later (because you do not see the outcome for hours at times) it says Failed-Other because it to a still picture and not a video. There is no toggle for picture and video. The apps does all of it. Why say SUBMITTED SUCCESSFULLY then say failed 10+ hours later because it only took a still image of my face. Let me know in the 3hr window so I can submit another voluntarily. 130 plus blows and no issues till app update. Take screen shots to CYA people. ### 1/5 — This app is trash *2026-03-12* This app has gotten me in trouble with my pretrail officer many times already. The check in dont go through most of the time , and customer service always gives a BS temporary fix that works for like a day and it gos back to not working. I don’t have to do the breathalyzer tests often.. but it makes me do the video check ins with the pass phrases. The notification for checking in is so quiet… and it’s only like 2 seconds long the. Stops.. it rings me at 1-2-3-4 or even 5 in the morning… I tried sleeping with a Bluetooth speaker hoping it wakes me up… but the lack of phone activity turns it off…. It never gets my attention when I’m sleeping! I wish there was a way to change the sound of the notification so it can actually wake me up when I’m sleeping.. my caseworker is fed up and thinks I’m lying and I don’t know what to do!! I understand monitoring, but can we do it right?? I shouldn’t be scared to go back to the halfway house because a app doesn’t cater to being able to get our attention when we’re working, sleeping or doing something…. Someone please help with this… ### 1/5 — Drains battery *2024-06-07, version 4.1.5* This app is horrible. It opens on its own in the background which causes my battery to drain faster. Also while I’m using google maps it tends to close maps down and opens over it which is really annoying especially when I have to make a turn just to open my phone and have the OSM app prioritize it’s self. ### 1/5 — Be prepared to be harassed *2023-03-24* My app decided to stop recording and submitting my tests. I called and spoke to the company 3 times. I have proof of the calls, times and pictures of the “missed” tests. They said they would put a note during the discrepancy times because we were trouble shooting the App. The people who abuse their power and “monitor” us, then stated that OSM does not show that we were troubleshooting the APP. The company are liars and people who have not been convicted of a crime are being bullied and harassed like myself. I would give it zero stars if possible. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2022-09-22* This app has worked decently for a while, aside from the lack of alerts in sends and the intermittent crashes and black screens it gives… but it’s really awful today, it’s pinged me 3 times and when I open the app each time, it’s showing multiple missed/“No Reply” tests in addition to the 3 it actually pinged me about. I’ve been in my bed for the last 2 hours freaking out about what it’s doing in fear of how it might impact my probation. Wish I had gone the in-person BA testing route but my PO made this sound easy and reliable. Please get this stuff figured out ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE *2022-09-14, version 4.1.0* this app has so many issues. it crashes as soon as it opens. i hear it going off bc i need to do the test and it won’t even allow me. people can go to jail for “not cooperating” . this is ridiculous and needs to get fixed. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Simple to use *2026-03-24* I have to say is that this tool has helped me stay sober. There are times where I am late but I do eventually blow. Sometimes I miss a blow and they have understanding that we are humans and sometimes we make mistakes which is very helpful and I think the young man’s name is Titus so I want to send a big THANK YOU for understanding. Now, the ease of use is amazing. It’s really not hard to do. And this thing has helped me to achieve my goals with my sobriety which is very important to me. So Thatnk you to all you OSM employees for everything. ### 5/5 — Great service *2025-10-06* The process to get a device was smooth and easy. Titus at the Houston office was so very helpful! The app itself helped me stay on track with reminders of check-ins and it was kept discrete thankfully. The app and device are user friendly and the customer service was exceptional ### 5/5 — My experience *2025-05-17* I’ve been with OSM for about a year and this app seriously helps me stay in good graces with my PO. The staff is very responsive when needed and recently with the updates, Titus has made himself available to me by text so I could exchange screenshots and let him know my situation. He has been extremely helpful and we’ve worked out all the kinks. If you need a way to appease your PO, this is definitely a great option. ### 5/5 — Assistance *2025-04-29, version 4.1.7* Titus was nice to help me with my service. Easy communication. ### 5/5 — DUI Court ordered *2025-03-27* After a foolish mistake, I drove home while over the legal limit. I was placed on OSM until my court date. I hired lawyers etc…and that only extended my date with the judge. I learned quickly the algorithms of this app. Two days in a row with 3 tests and the 3rd day only 2 tests repeat. Sometimes my 3rd day 2 test would happen early in the afternoon leaving me all day to do what I was not supposed to do. I was monitored for 8 months. Never tested positive. Learned how to play the game. The sound of the notification is still haunting me.
