### 4/5 — Güzel bana yararı oldu ama lütfennn dil desteği gelsin nolursunuz

*2026-06-28, version 2.8*

### 3/5 — Please fix these

*2026-06-19, version 2.8*

This app is great and I figured out that I can actually read at a pace of 416 words per minute however there are a few things I would like you to fix about it. First, please add more interesting books I can almost never find anything interesting and second, please make it so that the non-pros don’t only get one book at least add a few more. If these get fixed I would rate it a 5 star however for now I will rate it a 3 star for these reasons

### 3/5 — Traduire en français

*2026-06-14, version 2.8*

J’aime pouvoir une traduction de l’application en français

### 3/5 — exciting

*2026-06-12, version 2.8*

the app is a useful tool, the range of speed and opportunities to incorporate increased reading speeds can be improved- the current greatest words per minute is roughly 1,500 words per minute the Outread speed reading training app could easily increase this to 15,000 words per minute or greater

### 5/5 — Im reading more

*2026-03-03, version 2.6.3*

I cannot read the news on my phone. Too many distractions, the constant scrolling, the pop up ads. Its too much for me. To the point that I subscibe to the physical paper for my news. Ive been aware of speed reading for a while, but this app has taken what was once a chore (copy and pasting whole articles from tempermental sites into a reader can be extremely finicky) and reduced it to a few clicks. Ive subscribed to NYT and WSJ in the week since Ive started using it and I am reading much more that I was before.

### 5/5 — Much improved

*2026-02-19, version 2.6.1*

I’ve had Outread for a while. They used to be just OK, but have filled out the features to be really ideal.

### 5/5 — La mejor app de lectura rápida de mundo

*2026-02-18, version 2.6*

Para que siga siendo así los programadores deben seguir profundizando en sus mejoras. Pero va por buen camino

### 5/5 — OUTread OUTshines

*2026-02-01, version 2.5.5*

OUTstanding app in so many ways and the OUTpouring of updates keeps adding value. I’ve tried a variety of these reading apps and OUTread OUTperforms every rival. If you want to OUTclass in reading and comprehension this is the way to OUTsmart folks.

### 5/5 — Genious way to increase speed

*2026-01-31, version 2.5.5*

This app is improving on and on. Each update gets better and better. This is the best app for speed reading, period.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2026-01-28, version 2.5.6*

Use it for several months! Love it!

### 5/5 — Great updates

*2026-01-27, version 2.5.6*

I really like this app, it works well, lots of settings. I was literally looking for one that has the character highlighting the other week and now they’ve added it.

My only issue is that some epubs don’t import properly - the app thinks they are empty when they are not.

### 5/5 — Reading With Superpowers

*2026-01-23, version 2.5.5*

Like probably many others, I discovered Outread after the viral video about speed reading in this format. After a few days of testing on the free plan, I went ahead and purchased a lifetime license. This is a game changer! I can read PDFs, GPT chats, the Bible, etc. I’m currently reading around 320 WPM, but I can feel my ability to focus growing like a muscle. The developers are actively improving the application, very happy with recent updates.

### 5/5 — Absolutely love it

*2026-01-23, version 2.5.4*

I’ve spent about an hour with this app - exploring the available library, the various speed-reading options, the brain-training exercises - and I’m thrilled to find this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. It’s got a whole bunch of the books I’ve had on my to-read list for months, and I can’t wait to get started. 5/5⭐️

### 4/5 — Feedback

*2025-11-14, version 2.5.2*

As a user of this app I enjoy it but dont call it free if you need a prescription for 98% if anything on here don't download it unless you plan on subscribing

### 5/5 — Simple idea, big impact

*2025-10-07, version 2.5.1*

I can sustain focus and continue to be engaged while reading long articles or books, effortlessly!

### 5/5 — Developer is a chad

*2025-10-04, version 2.5.1*

Idk if he even saw my first email but i asked for some form of bookmarking and not a month or two later did he add that feature.

Then i noticed a bug and he promptly fixed it in two days. What a 10x chad im a convert for life.

### 2/5 — Seems great-but too costly

*2025-09-05, version 2.4.5*

I am currently a student about to take my national exams, and ever since I was young I struggled with reading speed, always slower than my peers, with a speed of 90-110 wpm. In my exams, especially English, I struggled with reading speed, and I would spend 20-30 minutes of my time just reading and trying to process the passages , which caused me to struggle with time management. Therefore, stumbling onto this app made me excited because I was really keen on improving my reading speed, and the exercises provided seem to be helpful and target my weak areas in reading. However, I simply can’t afford the exercises. It would be a great help if the exercises were still accessible who don’t have great access to money, maybe through watching ads (which I don’t mind).

### 4/5 — Wonderful! But……

*2025-08-16, version 2.4.5*

If Highlighting and Memo features are added, it would be more wonderful 😇☺️

### 4/5 — Almost perfect if you will add some more features

*2025-07-24, version 2.4.4*

It should have highlighting, underlining and saving quotes feature like other simple reader apps. I would be great being able to highlight and save quotes and paragraphs or to add comments.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not good

*2025-09-22, version 2.5*

If you import pdf that contain image they don’t show also they modify pdf and misprint I buy yearly subscription I think this is completely waste a lot of error

### 1/5 — Costs money

*2025-06-27, version 2.4.3*

Yes there are in app purchases and you cant upload your own books without paying

### 1/5 — Used to be free- now subscription based

*2025-06-19, version 2.4.2*

This app used to be free now they want money for the most basic functions. 1 star for the greedy developers

### 1/5 — Not free

*2025-05-12, version 2.4*

You can’t do anything without a paid subscription, not import books, not even read the public domain ones.

### 1/5 — Fatalna

*2025-04-22, version 2.4*

### 1/5 — Save your money!! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL USER EXPERIENCE since latest update (version 2.4)

*2025-04-21, version 2.4*

I used to love the free version of this app (so much so that I paid the annual subscription fee and have used it to speed read absolutely everything including purchased e-books that I had converted to PDF).

However, since they updated to version 2.4 it’s been awful. It appears it was more important for them to introduce a ‘text to speech’ function than it was to maintain the existing functionality.

I have tried using this app on iPhone 16 pro and the latest iPad and whilst I am in a document it is impossible to stop the screen motion regardless of where I tap on the screen.

Previous versions were smooth in the transition. If I wanted to change the speed of the app, I would simply tap on the screen to stop and then go into the settings and adjust. That is now impossible without tapping the screen at different positions over and over until it finally stops.

Now because they have introduced an ‘AI text to speak’ player, as I say it is now impossible to try and leave that function.

Save your money!!

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL

### 1/5 — As usual reward products for white rash and black show offs

*2025-02-01, version 2.3.4*

Barely usable doesn’t support pdf. What do I say more

### 1/5 — Don’t believe them about the pdfs

*2024-09-02, version 2.1.6*

Tired to import a pdf and it doesn’t work, just freezes on the loading page forever

### 1/5 — Crazy pricing

*2024-08-02, version 2.1.6*

Pricing is insane

### 1/5 — Pay for importing pdf? No!!

*2024-05-10, version 2.1.6*

Moneygrab! Write on main page that app is useless without purchase, so no time waste. Thanks

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great features

*2026-08-04, version 2.9.1*

Apart from its great features, the Staff Pick section is the best. Using since more than one year.

### 5/5 — Woah!

*2026-08-01, version 2.9.1*

Myślałem, że to będzie prosta apka do czytania tekstów, ale to prawdziwy kombajn do nauki i uczenia się szybkiego czytania. Bardzo pomysłowe ćwiczenia. Chętnie sobie powtarzam wieczorami :)

### 5/5 — Good support

*2026-06-12, version 2.8*

Thank you for for your support. This is a great app. Great developer.

### 5/5 — I like the training update

*2026-04-15, version 2.7*

goood.

### 5/5 — TÜRKÇE DİL DESTEĞİ! ! !

*2026-04-03, version 2.7*

Türkçe dil desteği gerekiyor. Macbookta kitap okurken belirli süre sonra ekran ışığı kapanıyor. En iyi oluma deneyimi ipad üzerinde oluyor ; çünkü ekran ışığı okurken hiç kapanmıyor.

### 5/5 — Works great

*2026-04-01, version 2.6.4*

Does what it says on the tin.

### 5/5 — 2.0

*2026-03-22, version 2.6.2*

OutRead 2.0, phenomenal. I love the daily exercises. Right now I’m just doing the daily exercises. When I reach day 30 I’m going to test my reading comprehension. When I tested it was only 171wpm comprehension 84%. I know it’s slow, but I focused more on comprehension than speed. Speed without comprehension is not impressive. I’m on day 25, so in a few more days I’ll update my review with the results. I have seen in improvement outside the app. For instance when I receive a 6 digit OTP(one time password.) I see it once and I have it. No more repeating it in my mind or looking at it more than once.

Update:
Start 171 wpm 84% comprehension
After only doing the daily exercises everyday for the last 30 days.
224wpm 100% comprehension.
I’d say that’s a huge improvement.

### 5/5 — I Love the Recent New Updates

*2026-03-06, version 2.6.2*

I really love the recent new updates with daily guided training and the increased variety of exercises, in addition to the original speed reading test and book reading. I love that by using the guided daily training, I am able to practice speed reading on a more systematic, regular schedule, and I would know when is the good time to move on to the next level (before the updates I didn’t really know when to level up). With the new updates, I was motivated more to practice everyday. Thank you and keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — The best feature of this app

*2026-03-04, version 2.6.2*

The best feature of this app - it’s free, i love reading the staff selected articles at a speed i want to develop.
