Excellent strategy game that is a blast to play for me and my kids. It would be even better if they added AI computer players so I could play a faster game without having to wait for other humans to play their turn. Everything about this game is fantastic! It’s a great strategy game, cute characters, well balanced gameplay, good game length, and NO pay to win mechanics. It’s sad to see that it has fallen by the wayside. This game could be so much more with additional maps and Characters. There are some really creative fan-made character concepts on the internet. The seasons doesn’t end and you’re stuck in the league that you started. Fun game but doesn’t work online anymore! ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. Tells me I need internet connection. *2021-07-01* I hadn’t played this in several years so I downloaded it, restored my purchases from inside the game however it says requires Game Center which I have and works with every other game. If select a new game it tells me internet connection required which clearly I have since I was able to download the game and restore my purchases. Why does the game no longer work? After reading other reviews I guess the developers abandoned the game. I’ll definitely never support this unethical developer again on any of their other projects. They took the money and have moved on to their next hustle. They don't see the value in the community they helped create. Why would I want to buy hex gambit or other games they made if they allow Outwitters to be this ruined. It literally crashes multiple times per turn. ### 1/5 — Ripped off *2017-09-07, version 2.0.15* The game limits you to 3 matches at a time. You are notified that you can buy anything from their store to increase the match limit to 20. So I spent $3.99 to unlock a character, but still can't play past 3 matches, even though it shows the character unlocked in the game. Waited 10 minutes and still nothing. So basically I spent $4 and literally can't play the game. **Developer response:** Hi there! If your account limit didn't get updated, you can go into the in-game store and tap 'restore purchases' to fix it. Sorry for the inconvenience. ### 1/5 — Love it... UNTIL NOW *2012-09-13* I deducted stars basically because of the most recent update. Since I haven't bought anything, I now only get 5 games... That's ok, but I was in the clever league, rank forty something and now suddenly, without giving up any games, I am rank 92 in the fluffy league, because I am only allowed five so it says I have lost all the other ones even though I haven't. This is soooooo irritating as it took me ages to work my way up and now it is all for nothing. SORT IT OUT! I think it's unfair.... Is anyone else having the same problem? I would say that the more moves you did on a match, the more likely it is to crash. Sometimes multiple times in a row. Other times your moves don’t count and your days are counting down without being able to fix it, rather than trying to resubmit in the hope that it goes through. This is the most unstable app I ever had on an iPhone and iPad. This game deserved so much more love but I’m glad there are still a lot of people still playing daily. The thrill of a quick (30+) turn game is still there with the right opponent. The game matches you against opponents of similar level so it is suitable for deep thinkers (it’s almost chess-like) as well as for casual gamers. It even has a ’pass along’ mode for playing face-to-face! Either way it’s a lot of fun. ### 5/5 — Please add speed mode! *2021-09-09* This is a fantastic game, so few strategy games that are pure skill with no luck. But please add a speed game mode using a chess clock feature, where each player only has 15 minutes total time or something.
