As you rank your troops up in tier it becomes abundantly harder to get to necessary things to rank them up, and each troop type has 5 areas to level up. You earn a handful fighting enemies in the field, but you would have to grind it out for weeks or months on end as a f2p at higher tiers . Everything to purchase revolves around bucks and gold bricks. Gold you buy , and all you get is the gold. There are no “packs “ to buy besides some daily ones for the heroes , which give you barely anything. If you want to eventually hang around and survive with the rest, you will need to spend some if not A LOT of money to rank up heroes and troops. It’s a very UNBALANCED game, and I have been playing for close to a year now. If someone wants to show me the balance in this game, please do. I have yet to see it or find it. Also they love to “merge” servers quite a bit. I started in s12, got merged into s13, then s7, now s2. They can’t balance their game or servers well at all. Huge pay to win . Avoid if possible . ### 2/5 — Haze of war *2021-08-08, version 1.0.0* Just a renamed version of Haze of war. There are so many of these cookie cutter 4X clan/multiplayer map-control games. Why? So much investment but zero creativity/originality! All the exact same gameplay and game loop. The screenshots are not of actual gameplay (there are no 3d models, it’s a flash game) Game freezes on an early main quest, can’t get past it. Still, once they fix that, should be fun for a week or two. 4 stars for art style. ### 5/5 — Worst experience ever *2023-07-03, version 1.1.6* I have been playing online games for 15 years now, this is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed with the quality and customer experience ever. Do not support this game and others created by them, if you value your time and money. Double take on your purchases and glitches you so you can not even play. Never been this frustrated in my life, took them over a month to reply back with no resolution. ### 5/5 — Great game *2023-02-13* The most balanced game in the genre. This is a well balanced game that keeps small spenders and free players active and relevant. I’m loving this game. Graphics are under par and the game could use some additional quality of play updates. If you’re into base building, troop training, and fighting along side your alliance this game is for you. The rewards for completing missions are abundant which is good for F2P players. This game has its own twist to it which makes it better than other games like RoK or SoS. There’s lots to do and I can play this game for hours. You can upgrade troops, buildings, heroes, gear, etc. I’m in a really good alliance and they help me out a lot with tips. Thank you to the Devs, please continue to update this game with more content.
