## What is Ovessa?

Ovessa is a private PCOS companion: cycle, symptoms, food, supplements, and metabolic health in one calm tracker — built for the way PCOS actually behaves, with your tracking records kept on your iPhone.

— PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE —

No account. No cloud storage for your health records. No analytics. Your logs live on your device — Ovessa’s App Privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”

When you request a food lookup, the request may include a meal photo, food name, or barcode. It is processed transiently to return a result and is never attached to an account or stored as a health record. Ovessa’s proxy does not log or store request bodies.

— A CYCLE TRACKER BUILT FOR IRREGULARITY —

• Log your period and symptoms in seconds — acne, hair loss, excess hair, fatigue, bloating, cramps, mood, cravings, headaches, plus your own custom symptoms, each with intensity.

• Honest predictions: a likely window, never a fake exact day. Ovessa shows no prediction at all until it has seen at least three of your cycles, and a wide window is shown honestly rather than forced into false precision.

• Your cycle history as it really happened: lengths, ranges, and variability.

— FOOD, SCREENED FOR PCOS —

• Scan a barcode: an A–E PCOS grade computed deterministically from the product’s own label figures against published criteria for sugar, saturated fat, salt, refined carbohydrates, and industrial trans fat — never an AI guess. No sugar figure on the record? Ovessa says it can’t grade the product instead of guessing.

• Your allergies come first: every scanned label is screened against the 14 supported allergens before any grade. An allergen match always takes priority over the grade.

• Photograph a meal: Ovessa recognises what is on the plate, lets you correct it using editable chips, and looks up verified nutrition data from USDA and Open Food Facts. Any fallback estimate is clearly marked as an estimate.

• Log meals by hand, or log a scanned product as a meal using the label’s own figures. Totals never invent a zero — missing data is shown as “—”.

• Products you have scanned before remain available offline.

— SUPPLEMENTS & MEDICATIONS —

Create schedules, check off individual doses with one tap, mark prescriptions as Rx, and receive gentle grouped reminders. No streaks and no nagging — and never any dose advice. Ovessa records what you take; it does not tell you what to take.

— METABOLIC HEALTH, THROUGH APPLE HEALTH —

• Optional two-way sync: your existing cycle history can fill Ovessa from day one, and information you log can flow back to Apple Health.

• Review weight from compatible smart scales, blood glucose recorded in Apple Health by supported CGM apps, sleep, and steps — all read on-device. Log water with one tap.

— DOCTOR-READY —

One tap creates a PDF for your appointment: cycle lengths with their real variability, symptoms, weight, glucose, supplements, and nutrition — generated on your iPhone and shared only when you choose.

Prefer raw data? Export your records as CSV anytime.

Ovessa is a self-tracking journal, not a medical device. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or dosing advice. Cycle estimates must not be used for contraception. If you have a food allergy, always read the physical product label.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-26

Medications and supplements now hold a real schedule: every day, certain days of the
week, every few days, or a cycle such as 21 days on and 7 off. Doses are separate — a
medication taken at 8:00 and again at 10:00 gets a checkbox for each, and each carries
its own amount. Changing a plan no longer rewrites your past: the schedule you were on
closes on the day it ended and the new one begins. Reminders follow it, so a
Monday/Wednesday/Friday medication no longer buzzes on a Tuesday.

Your doctor report reads as a history. The supplements table carries a row per period
instead of one per item, so a clinician sees "500 mg from Mar 1 to Jul 13, 1000 mg since
Jul 14" rather than only whatever you are taking on the day you printed it — and
something you took and stopped inside the report's window is there too, with its dates.

Meals are grouped by day with the day's totals, and scanned products moved to their own
lens. Ingredient lists written in Spanish are now read for allergens, glucose follows the
units you already use in Apple Health, and the CSV export carries your full schedule
history with a plain-text note explaining what each file holds.

Fixes. Stopping a medication now takes effect the same day, and naming one food in a meal no longer cancels the calorie lookup for another.
