Apparently this is because the app is new and has glitches… Poor excuse. Shouldn’t be forced into using a new app until it’s passed some basic quality control. ### 1/5 — Awful *2026-08-27, version 22.4.1* Useless. Can’t get account number. Been on hold for over 49 minutes. Will be changing providers asap. If you’re thinking of joining. Don’t. Awful awful customer service., ### 1/5 — Poor Customer Service *2026-08-27, version 22.4.1* Asked for a replacement in home display, they said it would be 2 weeks. It has now been 2 months. Bear in mind this isn’t the first time i’ve asked for this. Also this new app doesn’t have the scheduled payment so I have to log in and top up rather than just have a standing order and forget about it. Those that say I pay more for PAYG, well yes that’s true, but due to the summer, i’ve saved myself £320 on Gas alone by not topping up. No firm saving my money for me. If I had a fixed rate, and somehow ended up in credit, how long until I get a refund? At least with this Tariff, my saving is instant. ### 1/5 — Annoying *2026-08-25, version 22.4.1* What the hell was the point of creating a whole new app ### 1/5 — Terrible app – enough to make me leave OVO *2026-08-24, version 22.4.1* I’m a prepayment customer and this app has been awful for a long time. Even when I could access it, my meter balance was often days out of date, which is ridiculous when you need to know how much credit you have left. For months I was getting messages telling me to move to the new app, but every time I tried to log in I got “Login Failure”. Then OVO shut down the old app, despite the replacement still not working for me. I’ve reset my password repeatedly, deleted and reinstalled the app and tried logging in countless times. I can sometimes get into my account through the website after resetting my password, yet the same details still give me a login failure in the app. Even the website regularly makes me reset my password again when I need to top up. I don’t have a physical top-up card either. I previously spent a very long time on the phone to OVO trying to get one sent out and it never arrived, so I’m not prepared to waste hours on the phone again trying to fix another OVO problem. Being on prepayment means I need reliable access to my balance and the ability to top up my electricity. It shouldn’t be this difficult. I was fed up with this app before the change, but this has finished me off. I’m now seriously looking at changing energy supplier because I’m completely fed up with OVO. ### 5/5 — Amazed *2026-08-21, version 22.4.1* I very rarely write reviews for apps, but this app truly amazed me. I wanted to change my billing date to the 1st of the month; it was set to the later half. I typed this request into the AI chat bot expecting a long read or a chat with a Human. It does not work even I reset the password.
