### 4/5 — 4 stars

*2026-01-21, version 1.78.0*

The actual video playback can be a little shaky at times, pretty good app overall

### 3/5 — App keeps crashing

*2025-04-24*

Great idea, however the app keeps crashing and after purchasing the monthly subscription, the app crashed resulting of closing the application. Next time when I attempted to login , it stated I don’t have active subscription and offered me to buy it again.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review and for sharing your experience. We're really sorry to hear about the app crash and subscription issue — that’s certainly not the experience we want for our users. We hope you reached out to us at support@ovrcome.io and that our team was able to assist you promptly.

We always strive to resolve any issues as quickly as possible and get users back on track without delay. Our goal is to never leave anyone hanging — but we do need to be contacted directly so we can properly investigate any suspected bugs and rule out user-side issues, such as a mismatched login email preventing access. We hope you’ve been able to continue successfully!

### 5/5 — Kiwis can fly

*2023-12-19, version 1.63.2*

I want to thank this program for helping me Overcome my fear of flying to the degree I was able to complete the 3.5 hour flight with Air NZ to Niue last month and complete the return flight to Auckland after a great island holiday. The program worked as expected and with the outstanding AirNZ aircrew who knew about Overcome and helped immensely to relieve the stress of air travel for me. With AirNZ Wi-Fi improving and possible Starlink integration the app will help using in flight

### 5/5 — Life Changing

*2023-09-18, version 1.62.15*

I’ve had Trypanophobia (fear of needles) as long as I can remember and have seen many psychologists to help. I’m in my 20s and still completely terrified of them but this app has really helped me. Using the VR goggles I can work on my phobia at home when it suits me instead of paying for expensive therapy sessions and rushing them so I can get a vaccination or blood test. It’s so easy to use the app at home where I’m comfortable and in my own time, and I love the module structure that teaches me about my phobia and helps me work through it. I’m still working through the modules and am really impressed by how fast the goggles arrived, the accessibility of the app and the thought that’s been put into it all. Thanks for helping me with a lifelong limiting fear! I love that research and help is being developed with technology.

### 5/5 — Very Helpful!

*2023-08-23, version 1.62.12*

I’d been looking for an affordable way to try exposure therapy, and had almost given up but came across oVRcome and it’s been life changing!! Thank you to the developers!!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2022-07-13, version 1.49.7*

This is an amazing concept & app. I would kindly ask that you would consider Emetophobia as a subject. This is a debilitating phobia of Vomit for many, with exposure being one of the only ways to treat. I really love the idea of the gradual exposure, it just isn’t safe for Emetophobes to try to look for exposure scenarios and this apps gentle way of starting would be so absolutely helpful. There is a big lack of awareness of emetophobia by professionals and we are often left with treatments that aren’t helpful. This would be life changing to so many. Thank you for caring enough to make this app, it will truly change lives.

### 5/5 — Managing anxiety

*2022-03-28, version 1.47.9*

I find the idea of this and the platform incredibly accessible and clever. I’ve found it very helpful addressing my fear of flying - I have to fly across the country next Friday and I already feel more confident it won’t be a miserable experience… thank you!

### 5/5 — Took the fear away

*2021-11-14, version 1.44.3*

Took the fear away
This app was instrumental in helping my 14 year old daughter deal with her fear of injections (Trypanophobia)
We went from not even being able to mention the COVID 19 injection to using the calming exercises to get her into the clinic and ultimately having the injection.
We also had great support from the Ovrcome team throughout the course.
We were stuck before we stumbled across this app and course. Thanks

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2021-09-16, version 1.43.4*

Definitely recommend. I have been able to overcome arachnophobia in a gradual, non-confronting, and empowering way. Having previously experienced panic attacks when coming across large spiders, I am now able to approach, capture and remove them from the house with little anxiety thanks to this app! I wouldn’t have believed that outcome before trying it. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Aerophobia

*2021-09-15, version 1.43.4*

I found this app to be extremely helpful. Watching others in the airport or during a flight helped to embed the fact that this is a safe way to travel and nothing to fear. The fact that you get exposure every day is hugely beneficial.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-11-17, version 1.77.0*

I tried to set this up with my own VR headset. But the button to adjust the settings does not work in the app. I want a refund now because I cancelled the app after one hour of not being able to use it.

Maybe this would work with the headset they provide. It sure didn’t work with my headset.

### 1/5 — Great when it works

*2025-10-17, version 1.73.0*

It seems to be helping but…
The app hangs and requires deleting then reinstalling. It even requires me to turn off the phone to get it to release control of the phone.

### 1/5 — Not reliable

*2024-05-30, version 1.64.4*

You can’t test it. There’s no way to know if what your getting is true. Poor reviews prior to trying.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work it’s a scam

*2024-05-06, version 1.64.3*

Don’t lose your time the app doesn’t work I have been contacting the support no one replies looks like a scam

### 1/5 — Very disappointed. Videos/VR blurry

*2023-08-05, version 1.62.11*

Don’t spend your money on this; they talk a good game, but the VR videos are blurry (with or without the headset), and has no effect to help you.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2022-07-14, version 1.49.7*

Was really excited to start curing my phobia of insects but nothing works in the app.

### 1/5 — won’t open

*2022-07-07*

i open t and it just closes every time

### 2/5 — Very very terrible

*2024-08-18, version 1.64.8*

I tried this before and it did not help one bit in fact it made it worse, but I thought I should give it a second try and it also did not work I regret spending $300 on this app. A week later I was talking to my coworkers who were also using this app and they all say it’s a terrible app and that’s why it says your rated 2.8 stars on the Apple App Store.
Hated that experience and will definitely not recommend.

### 2/5 — ☹️

*2022-01-27, version 1.47.5*

was excited to try the app to help over come my dear of emetophobia but it’s not an option.

**Developer response:** Hi @jas262004 I'm sorry but we don't support that phobia just yet as we need to capture a significant amount of virtual reality content in order to release a new program. We do state what programs we support over the website and app, I hope you can reconsider your rating as we are a passionate bunch at oVRcome and we take negative ratings to heart.

### 3/5 — App freezing

*2026-07-23, version 1.87.0*

I’m in the introductory phase and can’t get past the glitching and freezing. I really want this to work! Wish I could view this part online!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — So helpful!!

*2025-12-04, version 1.77.0*

This app has really helped me with my fear of flying. I really appreciate all the information and breathing exercises and I love how they allow you to work your way up from driving to an airport to turbulence. I used it every day for six weeks before a long flight and had almost zero anticipatory anxiety and I handled the flight well. I’m impressed. I asked them for additional videos and they said more are coming. I am going to stick with this!

Also, I think some of the negative reviews on here are fake or these people are negative for no reason. The videos are very clear and this does provide exposure therapy - without having to get on a plane. My experience is extremely positive.

### 5/5 — Fear of mountain driving

*2025-11-26, version 1.77.0*

The bottom line is that this VR app worked for me. It empowered me to overcome a late-in-life fear of driving on mountain roads. I drove mountain roads in Pennsylvania on an average of 3,000 miles per year over a period of 25 years without any anxiety. Then, in 2023, I climbed up to the (Anasazi) Cliff Palace in Mesa Verde, Colorado and came close to having a panic attack. I tried but was unable to drive the main road out of the park as the high elevation overlooks visible around the curves was unnerving. Thereafter, I experienced anxiety on any road or highway that entailed long views and drop offs - this included Interstate highways equipped with guardrails. This anxiety continued even when I was a passenger. I began using this App in May of this year for a period of four months. In September, during a visit to New Mexico, I experienced no anxiety on some of the mountain roads but I wasn't fully convinced of the success of the oVRcome program. So, last week (November) I decided to test it. The mountain road I chose turned out to be very narrow with non-stop hairpin curves and switchbacks, steep drop offs, no berms and no guard rails. I drove about 4 miles and then 4 miles back down. My anxiety did increase over the drive but at no time did I have the unrelenting feeling that I was powerless to keep from driving off the road and over the cliff. This is why I say oVRcome worked for me. I credit my success to its combined education, especially on self-talk and breathing which I employed while driving, with the VR videos that must have worked on my subconscious mind. One last comment: be persistent in your use of the app. Oh, and don't climb up to see the Cliff Palace.

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2025-11-24, version 1.77.0*

3 members of my family have used this app and all found it really helpful - I used it for heights (and jumped off a high diving platform), one child for dogs (we now have a pet dog) and another child for needles (he had an immunization recently with no fuss). The app is easy to use, the modules aimed at children are really educational and kid friendly, and we all got results that we are very happy with.

### 5/5 — So helpful!!

*2025-02-28*

### 5/5 — Great app just wish it worked on meta quest.

*2025-02-20, version 1.69.0*

The app is amazing it has truly helped my social phobia. I used it before going to a work party at a bar and I ended up having a great time. The loading time is kinda slow. Instead of opening right up it takes about 15 seconds and I found it is best to download the vr clips to my phone to help with buffering issues when streaming but it is still worth 5 stars to me because of how much it has helped me. It’s important to start with the least anxious videos before progressing so you are willing to practice it and progress. Also I really like how some of the videos have a coach talking you through the situation which you can turn off when you are ready. I would really like to see it work with the meta quest with possibly a meta quest app instead of my iPhone sliding into a vr headset. Other than that I am so thankful this is available! I haven’t found anything else like it!

### 5/5 — Great for Social Anxiety

*2025-02-14, version 1.69.0*

It’s great to practice healing from social anxiety without stepping into the real world. You may not feel as triggered as being in the real situation but sometimes I do. Either way daily practice helps so much! I noticed a difference the next time I went out and was in a similar situation. It makes practicing so much easier and less stressful while training your brain to learn that those situations are safe. I would definitely recommend to anyone struggling with any type of fears or anxieties where real life exposure can be difficult. It’s been a great help to me and I see so much improvement!

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2025-01-13, version 1.67.0*

The app is superb and compliments the whole concept very well. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2024-11-16, version 1.65.0*

I am using oVRcome to help with my fear of heights. I am extremely pleased with my results. After working through the first 4 modules I learned about my fears and how they produced physical responses. These modules helped me understand about the fear and provided me with techniques I could use to help me cope with the fear. Then the module using the VR headset allowed me to practice using these techniques. I was amazed at the results. I was able to use the VR simulation of mountain climbing and view the spectacular scenes from this height. There are many simulations and I continue to work through them. I am using these same techniques with my fitness programs that have scenes with very high vistas (even outer space) and I am able to remain calm and enjoy the surroundings. Before using oVRcome I panicked whenever I encountered one of these vistas and had to shut down the fitness program. The oVRcome app is helping this 66 year old manage her fear of heights as well as helping me to use fitness programs that are helping to improve my physical well being.

### 5/5 — Acrophobia

*2024-05-06, version 1.64.3*

My mother took me to see Towering Inferno when I was 9. That gave me acrophobia, which has been debilitating throughout my life, whenever I am up high. OVRcome was affordable, had helpful staff, the vr goggles were provided, and I downloaded the app onto my cell phone, where I was able to learn the theory behind phobias, the irrational thinking types, and tools to use when I am up high, amongst other theory. I went through all 125 VR simulations multiple times. Sometimes 30 times for particular simulations. Then, after using my son’s oculus VR headset for 360 you tube videos, I went on to real life situations to practice. I have been up 33 stories in a glass elevator, 31 stories in an internal elevator, stayed on the 19th floor, and have just come back from New York, where I went up 102 stories to the top of the Empire State Building with ceiling to floor glass windows, plus an outside balcony on the 86th floor!!! Champion!!! My ultimate goal achieved. I could go up again too! OVRcome was an extremely helpful tool in overcoming acrophobia. I cant recommend it enough. If you have a phobia, you need this! It helps you control the phobia, rather than the phobia control you.

### 5/5 — Flying Fear

*2023-12-19, version 1.63.2*

Used oVRcome for my phobia of flying. It was very beneficial. The support staff always replied too! Happy to say phobia was alleviated and I was able to take my returns flights for the first in years. Thanks team.
